Yeah the game is so popular that it's already quite optimized. This run is maybe a minute off what would be theoretically humanly possible, but without new strats it probably won't go below 47:20-47:30 ish

@@lukemason3793 well the issue is there are gonna be more patches and its rare a patch *introduces* a new glitch, so 1.0 will likely only get faster and latest patch will only get slower. if a new glitch gets found in the latest patch, it likely works in 1.0 too. the only reason this run is almost as fast as 1.0 is because of the rare case of the new patch having a new glitch. theyll patch quick smuggle in the next patch and then this run will not be on the leaderboards anymore, at least at the start.

INSANE RUN!!! but I just want to let u know that in the fuse shrine if quick smuggle a bomb shield at the start of the shrine and grab the weapon then jump above the wall instead of breaking rocks, the and at UH u can just as flight over everything by quick smuggling at the start and then making a ramp of the first platform. GGs for the run

If you smuggle at the start of fuse you'd have to smuggle again for the bows after, but I could see that saving a little bit of time. The ultra hand strat doesn't really save time, it's only ~1 second faster if done well.

ok but the idea for fuse is that after u open the chest u launch ur self above the 2 walls on the right wall and then smuggle the bow, or u can smuggle it while the door is opening, hope that helps!

I hope someday they find a fast way to arrow smuggle in 1.0.0 because that would be insane, it would save so much time. Also the arrow smuggling in this run is part of what makes it so cool, and I’ll honestly be sad to see this run go when the new patch comes.

Yes!! I just use other glitches to get a lot of ruppees and go around bulk buying arrows, but it takes so long! All the villages, lookout landing, and Beedle at every stable!! I’d love a quick way to get lots of arrows. (I stopped auto updates in 1.1.2, so I still have and am using Tobio’s Hollow Chasm, which takes lots of arrows.)

Agreed! I don’t think many of these glitches can be found from just like code sluicing, which makes it even funnier to me. What prompts people to do all these crazy maneuvers lol?! Who thought, “Let me just throw an item I only have one of at a tree while stepping off a ledge, while ALSO dropping the item!” Granted, many new glitches are based off of/evolve from/are inspired by old glitches, but still! Especially this far along, after multiple patches, it really is mind boggling what these people are finding (and how quickly they do it after every patch). Then again, people still discovered glitches for like a whole 5 years after BoTW’s release, so I shouldn’t be all that surprised. Can’t wait to see what crazy glitches and hacks people find over the years! Personally I’m hoping for and foresee a fast traveling glitch (For example when you could get ultra hand to slide you super fast before ToTK was patched, whistle running in BoTW, and that glitch when you held a bomb and wiggled in BoTW), I don’t know of a good one right now. Anyways, for now, you’ll find me sitting back (with popcorn) and watching people find new and improved Zelda hacks!

As far as I know, the camera was programmed to avoid clipping to the ground or the walls. When he was trying to ascend to Ganondoor from The Depths by clipping into the ground, the camera got confused as it was trying to find a way to run away from the ground, while as the same time, trying not to stay apart from Link. Halfway ascending, the camera was freaked out so hard, that it was forced to freeze and waited until Link leave the walls that he was clipping in. That's me theory though, since both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom use the same Havox game engine and their camera controls behave pretty similar. If I say something wrong, don't hesitate to correct me.

You need to let go of R as you're landing from the jump and press L immediately after. I had a lot of trouble learning it because I wasn't waiting long enough before letting go of R.

Interesting how everybody agreed to skip the intro stuff (to save 6 boring minutes) but they still start the clock at 6 minutes. Is this a set 6 minute time by everyone? Or is it specific to each runner?

It's the average intro time from the top 30 any% runs (taken from when the vote was happening) and everyone uses the same offset. So you can technically save a bit of time by doing the intro, but it wouldn't be guaranteed.

this version loses time to lack of intro skip, worse duping, and the ganon fight mostly. the rest of the run has some parts that are slower but it makes it up with arrow flight.

It was hard to beat and I used a lot of newer strats like the bomb shield army reducing the number of rubies required and the construct cutscene skip etc.

I cant get that fall damage cancel to work for me when diving towards the demon kings army. I notice that you're not changing to a shield here but only have the arrow smuggle glitch active. Go into bullet time, do the flip thing and then press R to dive into the mountain and the gloom. What am I missing? any tips guys?

The dive needs to happen while Link is still moving up from the canceled jump slash. To make things easier you can enter bullet time right after doing the jump slash and then dive out of that.

It's called midair throw duping. It's the same thing he does to dupe wings, except when doing it on the wing he uses ultrahand to cancel the throw before the ruby comes out

Yeah that was the only big mistake in the run. The camera can get stuck behind walls when you're out of bounds if you're not careful.
