I've really been loving his style and point of view so far. It's so cool to see such clear influence of his work on today's horror manga as well. PTSD Radio is definitely not as deep, and it definitely has a formula that each volume follows, but hoo doggy it has been scratching that horror itch for me & me likey. Thanks Pato, you as well (ü)

Hi Sam, sounds like a difficult season to say the least but big huge kudos to you for giving yourself the space you need - it’s not easy to be kind to oneself in these moments, but I see you. If you want to unplug for a little while, can I recommend an anime I’ve been obsessed with? My Love Story!! Maybe you’ve seen it already, but it’s pure goofy sweetness (similar to Haikyu’s best moments).

Thank you, Erica!! ಥᴗಥ I literally rewatched season 2 and 3 of haikyu this past weekend just to *~* feel something *~* and even though I've seen the show several times through now, it always feels like the first time (ᴗ ͜ʖ ᴗ) but, I would love more Haikyu-esque anime to rely on for dopamine, so I will most assuredly be checking out My Love Story!! Tampa has been on my TBR for a long time. Lolita is one of my top books of all time (no. 1 or 2), and after I read My Dark Vanessa, which is a completely different perspective on the same theme, I decided there are a couple of more I want to read to keep getting more POVs, one of which is Tampa. Those horror mangas look great…. Currently reading some Junji Ito. 🤗 🤗 🤗 💚

I also enjoyed My Dark Vanessa. Tampa was great. Made me want to peel my skin off and scream at the top of my lungs, but also laughed out loud at certain points. I gotta read Lolita!!! Omg Dave it warms my heart to hear you're enjoying your escapade into the manga world. Hope you love Junji Ito!

Pax touched so many of our lives 💚 Take care of you the best way you know how, distracting myself is one of the ways that I find helps me with depression too or even just going outside and walking, especially if it is sunny. As simple as that sounds it helps me, sometimes, not always. I just picked up Nijigahara Hologram that you suggested over on Insta, going to start that today!

Sorry you’re feeling slumpy and crap at the moment. I know what you mean about Cunning Folk feeling a bit overwritten at times, but I found the style worked for me. I hadn’t heard of any of those mangas you showed and now I want to read them all

Thanks Olly. Still trying to fight my way through Cunning Folk, but it's picking up a bit now. You definitely gotta check out PTSD Radio. Shintaro Kago may also be a cool author to check out for Garbaugust, he's one of the pillars of "ero guro" manga (a subgenre focused specifically on intense gore and sex) which I think would definitely fit the bill of "trash" nicely!

Thanks Michelle ♡ don't get me wrong, Kago still loves to manipulate the body (ie one story features a character with piercings all over their body... And I mean ALL OVER their body 😵‍💫) but his work definitely feels distinct and he has such a unique voice. Dementia 21 was very fun and wild!
