Bringing back the tribunal system would be such a great idea for league of legends. In Dota 2 they have a tribunal system (called overwatch) where high Elo players with a great communication score (Honor system in league) moderate trolls not trying to win, and something actually happens. You can even see full perspective, so if someone is tabbing out flaming in chat. Pinging teammates or even just full blown giving up... So you can give punishments to someone ruining the game for everyone else.

It could even be useful vs scripting because you can see mouse movements of players in Dotas tribunal system so if someone was dodging or predicting things (skill shots). You could see if an Ai was doing it or an actual player instantly.

Would give Riot a semi-valid excuse for all of the privileges we have to give Vanguard lmao. Simple solution to one of the common criticisms of the Tribunal would be to ensure that only high Honor leveled players are able to participate.

Dont know if you were around in the times of the Tribunal, but they had to change it to bring it back. There is a reason it got abadoned. Player were punishing people just to get the rewards wich came with it. A very small percentage were actually watching and judging. Algorythms should work better in that case, but they cost a good amount of money to get them working and the licencing aswell.

I know this is an "old" video and comment, but just popped in my feed. The Tribunal was great, and I was an active "judge". Banning players was a joy (or voting for bans, more accurately).. the bad side of it was how it destroyed my view on humanity and the LOL community.. The kind of swearing I saw there, I never seen in real-life gettos.. the worst I saw, and hope it led to a perma-ban was someone swearing at someone else and with great details saying what he would do to that person's mom's skull and eye-sockets with his 🍆. Loved the system, but hate the dark side of humanity I saw there, to this day.

I got two weeks for restard and first game out of ban I get a support who types in chat: I will int mid. I thought he was joking but game starts, he gives 7 kills to Zed, while I went supp with Kaisa and smashed bot lane as Panth supp, then I went mid, Kaisa was able to 2v1 and I smashed Zed. Jax and I carried that to win and all I said that game, when Zed asked why is Sera trolling, I wrote "Aut*sm" and then muted all, because two week ban and after game was met with perma ban notification. I pleaded with RIOT support but was met with a hard "NO", even after I told him you know that I will buy a fresh account and smurf on people, ruining their games. He said that's not allowed, I said I know it isn't but you will not stop me, just like you don't ban inters like Seraphine. He said he looked at the game and confirmed that Sera trolled and inted but my only remark is so offensive that I deserve perma. Then on fresh acc reached dia 2, while having 1000 game on my banned and couldn't make it to plat 4. Which opened my eyes at how game is rigged once you get hardstuck mmr, it's just nearly impossible to climb with all those trolls, inters and overall bad MM. P.S. I monitored every single player I reported over tickets and requested humans. I only send tickets for people inting and trolling. Going 0/12 as Naut is perfectly fine as long as your deaths are useful. But just running it down deserves a ticket. Every player (4 tickets in total) was active for 3 weeks, I daily took a look at their match history.

Being an ADC, playing Bot Lane is probably the worst experience in the last 2 years than in the entire LoL history I've played since Beta. Supports are TOO strong. And then, if your support is terrible or doesn't want to move forward to counter pressure the enemy support, your life is absolutely miserable. Then the enemy ADC gets ahead and proceeds to roflstomp you and there's nothing you can do about it.

Yesterday I played 3 soloq games with my buddy in low emerald lobbies. I never felt as hopeless and useless as those few games. I dont even care about matchmaking and smurfs, the game has too much damage. Good luck outplaying someone who's ahead. They will just smash their head on keyboard and deal 2/3 of hp in seconds while running around like a maniac. Those 3 low emerald games literally had worse quality than silver-gold games I head back 3 years ago. I felt like I was losing my braincells every time our team was araming midlane in "highly competitive" game. Arena feels more like soloq than soloq itself. Riot overcooked their game.

When people get ahead, ask 3 questions: 1) Are you a carry? If yes, you will be focused. Thus, build steraks or maw of malmortious if AD, or Rod of Ages and Zhonya if AP. 2) Are you a tank? If yes, build damage. If no, see nr 1. 3) Is your entire team feeding? If no, see above. If yes, fuck it, build full damage and focus on sidelines. Abandon ship, abandon your team, and just play for your own good. Even abandon your premade, if it comes to that.

Riot August said recently during one of his streams on Twitch that League of Legends had its peak (amount of players) a couple years ago which means the game is declining. Riot Phreak also said that from now on (next patch) they are going to balance the game around statistics from China, but I do believe that also someone else linked to Riot said that the game is declining in the "West". So Im pretty damn sure the overall player number is declining or at least stagnated (China making up for the loses in the West).

Straight to the point - League has been around for almost 15 years and the matchmaking is the worst it's ever been so I don't expect nothing to change. As we all know it's a team game but with very specific roles. It's absolutely ludicrous that four players on the team can try their best and perform well at their chosen role, doing everything possible to try to get the win. But the one player on their team who runs it down 0 - 20 while typing toxic abuse in chat etc can lose the game for the whole team making it a completely unwinnable, then everyone ends up losing the SAME amount of LP in RANKED! CRAZY. RANKED - If LP gain/loss was based on performance and not ONLY a outdated (2009) WIN or LOSS then good players would inevitably climb and bad players, especially trolls will obviously fall down in to the piss about ELO called IRON, where they all compete to see who can INT and feed the hardest. This would bring a lot more people to RANKED because it's a much more rewarding experience IMO. How can the game be marketed so hard as a TEAM game, with ROLES. When the only role which has a impact on gaining or losing LP is "TROLL". EVERY player should be rewarded on THEIR OWN PERFORMANCE! Even when you get the disgusting top laner who purposely runs it down 0 - 20 and hands you a loss, it's OK because you played 13 - 1 and had the most damage, most gold, and over an 80 percent kill participation so you will be gaining LP, while that troll who single headedly lost the game for the other four players will be losing a ton of LP because he played like absolute dog sht in a toxic manner. Can honestly say that I think this will also stop so many people tilting because their entire ranked experience is not held hostage or in the hands of they ever so reoccurring toxic players. Bring the game in to 2024 FFS. Love your videos Rew, keep them coming!

I got my first chat ban after i accidentally miss typed like with a K at the start. Didnt even know it was a slur. For the rest of the season, even after i got unbanned, i got temp chat restrictions for just complaining about my team normally, stuff I said. But my main issue is that i couldnt appeal my first chat ban, even though in context you could see it was an accident

About the Int-Feeding bans, once I had a friend of mine test this out in a smurf acc I had. He literaly picked Nunu Cleanse Ghost, run it down, and spammed in chat "i will run it down gl". The account only got a 14 day ban. You literally have to EARN the int-feed ban, it's crazy.

Whenever I duo on my other account with my one friend who is in bronze, the games often feel genuinely harder than I remember games in emerald being not too long ago. It feels like there are quite a lot of smurfs, many players doing things far beyond what a bronze player would do, and many players especially on our teams for some reason have incredibly weak mental, they just leave the game after one or two deaths or over one or two insults from someone else on the team.

13:50 I actually have gotten *one* notification that somebody was *punished* (not banned) for intentionally feeding once. I wish I took a screenshot. It actually just happened 3 days ago. However, it's literally been once and only once. in the last few years, all of the other ones have been for inappropriate chat. And the ratio would probably be like 200+:1 or something. So inters can get punished, but like, it barely happens. And I think it happens more when everybody reports the same person for inting. Because the person who was punished was somebody who pissed off the entire team, didn't type once, and went like 0/12. everybody reported them.

Man, I wasted my time on sending tickets and requesting human to talk with and all three times I was met with standard corporate answer: "We will look into it and punish the player accordingly". After the third time I manually sent a ticket and monitored activity of those players (who were active for two weeks after report and me monitoring them every day), I went back to customer support and literally told him that he as a worker is just as a piece of sh*t just as the inting troll is, who gets to ruin solo q games for his amusement without being punished. Also told him that he should be ashamed for not punishing a clear example of such players since I monitored if they are active. He apologized and said he can't disclose how they punished him, but said he did. I told him he's lying sack of sh*t and I'd fire him if I was his manager. I got perma banned, when such inting troll tried his hardest to lose the game but got carried by me and top, got called "aut*st" by me. That was the only word I wrote that game, then went mute all (since I came off 2 week ban over "fck you") and focused on winning. That moment was infuriating. Customer support told me "well you shouldn't have called him that", ah, man, he/she pissed me of more than perma ban. Nowadays, chat is dead silent most of the time and there is nothing you can do when troll ends up in your team. Can't even ventilate in chat.

In my experience, trolls do get banned, but you had to manually go to the riot portal and open a ticket with plenty of supporting evidence and screenshots, and keeping it very simple and straight forward for them, as they are tired, overworked and speed reading. In 80% of cases, I would login after a day or two and see a confirmation that a punishment was issued, and it would juice me up with justice for a few days. 😄 It was highly tedious, but so worth it to get that feedback.

As a lvl 600 player, i can personally say that i would usually always buy a skin durring a holiday or 3 day weekend or on my birthday. Sure, i had my main solo q champs, but I really never got bored because I would learn a new champ and for a while that champ would be my favorite, like Gnar for example, and i'd buy skins for gnar. There's and endless amount of skins. I don't play Gnar in solo to climb, but i still buy lots of skins for him bc he is one of my favorites. As I learned new champs and expanded my pool, i'd buy more skins in tandem. I take the opposite stance here and I would say that because i had tons of skins on my main, it made playing aram so much more enjoyable. I LOVED playing all my different skins in aram. I quit playing because of smurfs and I actively told riot that they aren't getting another penny out of me until smurfs are dealth with. In my case, I can attest that I would deffinitly spend more money on my main because it's my main, and no, it's not like getting blood from a stone... It's fix the game and then i'll buy stuff. I'm not spending a single penny on a smurf and i'll die on that hill, i don't care what rank i am.

My only worry with a league tribunal system is that league players are assholes. Especially the higher up you go i genuinely dont think half of them have the mental capacity to put themselves in someone else's shoes enough to do this. So im sure most members would be very heavy on the ban option.

Simple solution: gate tribunal behind Honor Level/account ban history. Either way any solution is better than their retarded automated ban system that literally only looks if you went 0/20 for 10 games straight before banning you. There are so many ways you can intentionally lose the game without actually "feeding", and those can only be seen by actual humans reviewing the footage.

League players are assholes because to them it is "improper" or "impolite" to be bad at the game, and they are literally powerless to do anything about the shitty teammates they get stuck with. If you're in gm and you're in the same game as 4 emeralds, its literally like putting lebron with 4 college kids in a real match. If I can be in a tribunal, I would absolutely analyze the fuck out of peoples gameplay. its sort of like internet literacy-- people (especially the higher elo you go) can just tell when others are trolling. Its also often the people who ARE good at the game that end up trolling the most effectively; because they know EXACTLY what they can do to avoid detection while also causing the max amount of misery

I actually have the opposite experience. There are relative positions in elo (E1-D4) and (D1-Masters) where you will run into assholes but generally I find the higher you go the more chill people are. I do agree however that it would be extremely hard for tribunal players to judge troll vs nontroll games fairly due to their understanding of the game vs a lower ranked persons understanding of the game.

This video is pretty spot on. I had an account with over 8,000$ in value that had been there SINCE THE FIRST WEEK THE GAME RELEASED. I got chat restricted one day some years into playing league and decided i had way too much value in my account to risk it so i just stayed completely silent in 99% of my games, only ever typed in things to let teammates know what my plan was, like "path bot skip camp lvl 3 gank". One day i was in a game a great game at that my team was slamming, and the enemy jungler was just being an absolute troll running it down handing us the victory on a platter and i typed in all chat "sorry that your jg is being a moron". I finished out the day woke up the next day to a perma. I went from no penalties, to a 3 day chat restriction, to a perma without so much as cursing at someone or spamming or harassing. I quit league for 3 years over that. I knew coming back that i wouldn't put any money into the game again, but I made it a point to not talk in chat in any meaningful way, the only things I say AT ALL is "starting blue/red" "no leash" and then ping my movements in the jg. I still got a chat suspension somehow, and this is the most tryhard account i've ever had. I furiously sweat to try and carry my games and keep my chat to nothing more than what i just stated and yet i still got a restriction. I believe their system is more than just keywords i think if people report you enough you just get punished anyways and riot sees it as "well something had to happen for them to report you and it happened enough so we're not really gonna argue against it"

the pinacle of stupidity that this developers demonstrated is that u can get chat restricted for asking enemy team for reports when ur jglr clearly typed in teamchat "gl im afk farming" (proceeds to do so) Funilly enough the only one that gets chat restricted and 5 games penalty is u... because asking actively for other players to report the toxic guy ruining the game apparently " ruins" the experience for other players. Meanwhile the guy that actively sabotaged the game on purpose after dying on river when u pinged him to not go is still allowed to play normally... Funniest part is it dosn't matter if u fill report in game or if u write a ticket to riot itself... They just dont care. He then he pretended to act innocent all game and portray me as the toxic one on our team to the enemy team in all chat and those idiots actually believed him and reported me instead. the problem with doing that in all chat is I've had MANY cases happen to me where I lost lane, played bad, and someone types in all chat "report X they called me a racial slur" meanwhile I literally didn't type at all the entire game. The league community is so disingenuous that whenever I see people ask for someone to be reported, I just report the person asking instead because in my experience it's the toxic/inting players trying to get other people reported, not the other way around.

historically, it was just not worth asking for 9x. riot treated 9x the same as 1x. only starting ~2 patch ago, 9x does something, BARELY. still, mass reported players would need to accrue A LOT of mass reports to ONLY get a warning with no penalty. meanwhile ur risk of getting punished is higher for asking 9x. not worth

The good thing of people being looked at if the enemy reports them, is that it prevents premids of 4 all just gangning on you and verble abousing you in normals and you geting punished for it because they are 4 and you are 1. Instead it leads the player on the other team deciding which ones gets punished and not.

About the tribunal -- there are things I like about it, but: 1) it can lead to player A being judged way more harshly than player B, because tribunal judges can vary wildly, even if they're all trying to be fair. Some people are just way harsher than others. An algorithm that bans inters at least is consistent, applying the same standards to everyone. 2) if John play five games, maybe John see three people worth reporting. Let's say that one tribunal case needs five reviews. Okay, so then after five games, John needs to review 3 * 5 = 15 tribunal cases, to be "tribunal neutral." If John doesn't review 15 tribunal cases after playing 5 games, then he's creating a tribunal backlog, and others need to review even more cases to work through that backlog. So in practice, the tribunal just creates a huge backlog of cases because not enough people review the tribunal, and inters aren't punished quickly enough. Whereas an algorithm is quick, and can ban the really blatant inters incredibly quickly (it doesn't have to wait for two weeks for tribunal judges to review the case). As for your "people don't falsely report others" -- some people absolutely do report people just for having a really bad game.

Although thats not really a good counter point to your point because you could probably quite easily detect that and stop taking their reports seriously. In regards to your tribunal idea, it definitely sounds like a very reasonable idea that could work very well in theory. Although I have to assume that its probably a lot harder to actually implement in practice, otherwise I find it hard to believe why Riot wouldn't "just" implement something like that. One of the most important things I have learned as part of my studies is that systems that sounds great in theory are often far far harder to implement than one would anticipate. Thats why I am very skeptical of "simple wonder solutions" as a baseline. Although thats of course a very speculative counter-point, and even if an idea is more complex to implement that anticipated, that doesn't mean that idea is bad. And who knows, maybe the reason why they don't do it really is just... "skins"!!

one of my biggest things is the broad skill gap that can queue together. I know I have a lot to learn (I'm an iron player) but two games in a row we were queued against a silver 2 wukong/yuumi duo in bot lane. There was absolutely nothing we could have done. That wukong had 700k mastery. Like c'mon League put some sort skill gate in there. the smurf situation is crazy. There is this one guy in NA named pickle we have played with him at least 20 times and each time he would just int or sit in our towers even at 30min with 1/0/0. its insane.

The main crazy part about the troll/smurf situation is how the grass really is greener on the other side when playing dota. Ive never had someone run it down in my dota games yet the most ive seen is toxicity in chat where everyone still tries to win and a total of 10ish smurfs over ~600 hrs(all 10 were before the recent smurf banwave) I swapped after a stupid chat ban and then in the next game that i had 2 people trolling with 4/5culls I was d2 in lol played every day but 1 game i had a karma just walking into the enemy not using abilities and i said "can you stop getting into terrible fights and just poke with rq dmg " That of all things got me chat banned I appealed of course cause it was dumb and they said " commenting on someone's performance In a non-construtive way.." highlighted in bold is why i got banned when asking how is that not the perfect example of constructive criticism they said "please keep in mind that constructive feedback is welcome in the chat only when asked for by the other player." Not even mentioned is thr fact that karma with imperial mandate rush had 300 dmg done with the item at the end of the game and 7k dmg dont total in a 30 min game Meanwhile in the same ticket i sent screenshots and the match id for the game with both the trolls and ofc both just kept playing ranked cause they were never banned or even forced to play norms Vanguard being added soon after also cemented my decision to notcome back and just give the incompetent company that is known for lying about data full 24/7 access to my pc especially when i personally know botters who are still running their farms business as usual

The main character syndrome I believe is the primary intersection of so many things that create the negative experience talked about in these videos, and it absolutely is a syndrome that is a product of the game's design. Characters are overloaded and have created the expectation that a single person *should* be able to carry in any role in any situation, within any team comp. That was not the case in early seasons. Champions used to have very clear strengths and weaknesses that would rely on complimentary roles and teamplay in order to thrive. Now, those dynamics still have a presence, but why go through the trouble when you can just pick something like Yone, or Ksante which are much more self-reliant? And when everyone is playing a more self-reliant champion, everyone has the power fantasy of being the carry. This cascades into more FFs, and more toxicity and negativity because if someone isn't getting to play the game as the big dumb hero, then they would rather go next. I also feel this dovetails into engagement-based matchmaking, which is tailoring lobbies to cater to this mindset, and is why lobbies feel so coin-flipped and swingy. Rather than those moments happening organically, the game feels contrived to create those moments to drive engagement, and is why I think people feel less and less agency over outcomes of games, even when playing well. In short the game has been designed into a sort of mirage to entice players that "maybe the next game is where I pop off", and matchmaking is holding the keys to facilitate that, and knows how to push players into playing as much as possible to chase that hit.

Tribunal imo, would have to be players over a certain level (maybe at least level 500) who are maintaining honor level 5, and have not been banned previously. Basically a seasoned (not a smurf) player who has a clean record.

And people also report each other for bad play. It would have to be people handpicked to be people in high enough elo (they can't troll to climb and they cant smurf there) that also have high honor. There are easier and more automated ways of doing that without having to resort to the Tribunal. There wouldn't be enough people.

With all the stats provided in every game, system can detect a smurf and lift him out of low elo ASAP. Drop him in slightly higher elo than his personal performance in games (win lose system sucks because I've had fresh acc with 5/5 losses, despite me being the most fed, most cs in every game but system put me in bronze 4, then on other getting plat 1 and climbing to Dia 2, then had 11 games in 3 days, 11 losses with two trolls in 8 out of 11 and me winning lane hard 9/11 games. But when you have one or two fed in your team vs four fed in enemy team, with two trolls inting to lose, it's just impossible to win. Sometimes it happens but very, very rare.

The coach for my Am team actually talked about soloqueue recently and said some things that I agree with. He basically said that when we go into solo queue, we should be focusing on our own play and trying to improve aspects of our play. Using that mentality has actually helped me not tilt when my teammates are trolling. Since I'm offroling adc, I'm trying to focus more and trading, and team fighting because those are the weakest parts of my game right now. I know that my teammates and I have a different perspective and different goal for playing ranked than most people so I don't think it'll work for everyone, but this actually helped my mental state during solo queue games a lot. I obviously like having good competitive games too but focusing on myself and my play is the best way for me to play ranked. that being said, everyone on my team has lower winrates and lower ranks then they should have right now because of poor game quality. it's frustrating but as long as we're improving as players, we'll start climbing again.

Lots of the problems can be fixed with making it so you can only have 1 account! It would force people to be less toxic, not afk, smurfs and boosting. Simple fix. Smurfing is the biggest problem, Ruins matchmaking and is unfair to people who are legitimately that rank. Make it so you can only have 1 account and are forced to play in your own rank. And if you wanna play with friends play norms! That's what they are for. And as far as trolling, if you know you can only have 1 account you're less likely to troll knowing you can't just go make another account and avoid any punishment. And the riot needs to ban on time not games. Like first offense banned a week, 2nd banned a month and so on and so on.

Only after watching this video do I see how bad it is, I started playing ranked again this week after being 6 years clean and I got placed in bronze, I’ve got about 20 games played now. Games are genuinely decided by smurfs and inters. You either get a 20/0 draven on your team, or the enemy gets two smurfs that go 10/0. And if none of this happens, you get a laner that ints because he feels like he didn’t get ganked enough. This is just my last 3 games played and I genuinely do not want to play ranked anymore. So naturally I try to queue up for a normal game and try some mid, but for the life of me I cannot get mid, I always get my secondary role. And ofcourse if by some miracle I do get mid, the game turns to a remake

Something that I do wish riot took under consideration was instead of a defeat always ending in negative lp, have it base how much LP you lose or gain based on how well you played. Riot is already telling you in the post game results "Hey you got an S rank, but uh oh you lost the game" so full negative lp loss. Give everyone an incentive to keep trying. Its kinda disheartening to play really well, to then lose the match and also get the full loss of LP ontop of it.

I highly doubt that riot will really take action towards these common if not, most prevalent problems in the rift due to esports scene being more of their priority over solo queue, but i certainly do hope that they at least adjust these situations because man, ive met tons of people hardstuck in bronze but completely stomping their lane opponents and the whole enemy team if they are given properly functioning teammates. Honestly, having come back to League after deleting my original account (lvl 136, iron/bronze) and coming back into it years later to see the new ranks and these issues definitely makes playing ranked even more daunting. I've ran into the inting case just yesterday in norms. Scarner jungle just admitting to running it down in chat and nothing gets done, it's genuinely wild. Also, your idea sounds just like CS:GO's Overwatch system, where players would be selected to review sections of games just after someone got reported, and it contained check boxes after the replay for cheaters and inters alike. one point ill make about the lower ranks learning from higher ranks section is that if you put a grand master or any proper high elo player in a low elo lobby he does not play the same way he does in high elo, high elo is a different game there is a reason why the kills per minute get lower the higher rank you are, people respect your knowledge and play around it. but put them in a low elo game and they will abuse every detail. its like watching an iron player stand in a nasus w they wont learn not to do it because they dont think its hurting them. they have to play nasus themselves to learn. its the same thing. its a knowledge gap and they wont understand how they are being gapped

I’ve had honour 5 every season since they launched it. Everyday I get multiple notifications when I log in that players are being punished for whatever I write reports for (some are well thought out, others not so much). Once people start typing, you can almost immediately tell that they’ve been chat banned before or will get chat banned in just a couple games. Sometimes just asking people how old they are helps. Folks need to remember that they’re an adult and lower their blood pressure xd My only recommendation to these people is to stop playing and find peace ✌️ First time viewer. Thanks for the rant 🤟🏻

I could really relate to your last video. I had no history of giving up or soft inting (playing since S1), but after i got chat restricted, losing my honor 5 going to 0.0 and getting suspended for 14 days for using the word "retarded" repeatedly in season 13 (I did not write it over and over on purpose, it's just part of my vocabulary when i'm describing something i find rediculous of idiotic), I became that guy you described. Just a quick correction. During the tribunal era you couldn't watch replays. You got a list of kda, items, and the full chat log and you had to skim through the information and make a decision based off the limited information you had. If you made a unanimous decision with other tribunal members the player got banned. They would reward tribunal members with xp boosts and exclusive skins that later became available to everyone once the tribunal was removed. I miss the tribunal era because as a member i felt I could make a positive impact on the game. As for false positives there was an appeal system where a rioter could manually go over the same information and possibly reverse the ban.

Too much damage. Can't carry because everyone one shots you. Can't strategize and outplay the opponent because it's whoever one shots you, not who plays it better. Everything boils down to that. Easy fix, Riot just needs to take every champion in the game and reduce their damage by say 10%. The patches are a joke, the only broken champion they actually nerfed this patch was karthus. They refuse to touch jhin, caitlyn who have been one shotting everyone for months, or garen having the highest winrate in the game in every role. Losers Queue is real, and it's tied to reports. If you love tahm kenching on Riot's serrated dirk, explain how I have an account with a 32% winrate over 95 games in gold, and another account with a 68% winrate in high emerald over 134 games. Same player, same roles, same playstyle, same champions. And no I do not tilt queue or rage quit. They won't ban inters or griefers. Try it yourself, get an account, run it down, get like 1 assist or kill and hard grief, see if you get banned. Pick syndra and just follow your jungler around resetting their buffs. Play anivia and block your team into their deaths or spit them into the enemy as tahm, whatever. You will never get banned. Another huge problem is that League players do not want to win. Go into a game and start saying you want to win, ask them if they want to win, they will legitimately freak out and say it's just a game and to report you. It's like some strange NPC interaction. Next time your team is flaming you while you're carrying them, ask them if you should leave, they will tell you to leave. They do not care about winning, only ego. Stop flaming junglers. I am so sick of getting blamed every game when we have 2 drakes to 0, 6 grubs, and I'm up 3 levels. Yet I'm being griefed or flamed by the entire team for not ganking their losing lane against full health champions that can easily kill us, or when I did gank they didn't even go in. Or better yet, when I'm spam pinging them to help drake and they don't and the whole enemy team comes and takes it, then I'm flamed for having no drakes. Just in case you're wondering what I'm reported for in low elo that puts me in losers queue, it's just for playing the jungle role. And by the way, Riot says it's against ToS to say to report someone, enforce this so I stop getting spammed all game in all chat to report me for playing jungle.

Over the years I’ve learned that there is nothing you can do to make your teammates better at the game, most players just have a ridiculous ego and think they are the best player alive, your teammates can’t do wrong in their mind, most you can do is make sure you keep a gold lead and hope for the best. there is no equal chance of having a smurf in your team btw. It's more likely to be in enemy team 26:10 If you are playing on your main, there are 9 players who could be the smurf. 5 out of the 9 players are in enemy team. 4 out of the 9 players are in your team. So 55% of the time, the smurf is in enemy team.

I think a very important thing to consider is the time investment it takes to climb, or "reach your true rank". If you played 3 Ranked games every single day without fail you would reach 500 games in 6-7 months. Each Ranked split now is 4 months. Your rank will reset around the 350-360 game mark. To get 500 games in a split you'd have to be playing 4 games every day, with half of those days playing 5. That's likely about 3 hours if we account for queue times and short breaks, provided that games are all about 30 minutes. That's 3 hours of Ranked League of Legends games, every single day, for 4 months. That's a new torture method.

There are two things I would just like to say about this. I think Tribunal is a big thing to bring back. CS.GO has the VAC Reviews where higher ranked players can watch replays of games of the person reported and it's a good system to have the community help with something the Dev team might not have time for and those higher players have the knowledge to most likely see if something is off. Second is that I think it would be easier for players to enjoy the game if they would really play with only the rank/MMR they have and only changing if you do well in those games for it to rise and have you face a rank higher players. Basically like ranked, if you are Silver I and want to get to Gold IV, then you have to beat Gold IV players. It would eliminate the huge skill gap in some games with players that don't know what they are doing quite yet who are dying to the account level 400 Emerald player. It wouldn't make the game fun for the new player or maybe not even new player but rather players who don't have the skill set in this game yet. It would be better to look into the whole MMR and narrowing it down a little. I get games in ARAM (because I just want a quick game) where I'm playing against Emeralds and even Diamonds, while only being ranked Bronze (because I barely play ranked and don't grind it, I just play it when I feel I could have a good day playing it). So the MMR is completely off still. It's just a simple, if you play good, then you play with players in your skill set, if you have no clue what you are doing then you should get put in games with similar players doing the same, that way it will become a learning ground for them against each other.

Being placed in iron means thats something is clearly wrong with your person. Do you have any gaming background ( pc competitive games like starcraft, age of empires etc). Do you run the game with good settings? ( 60 fps, is your mouse and mousepad even remotely good? Etc) Do you even know what EVERY champion skill and abilities do? And last thing is you probably play on locked camera and still you did not put enough games in to learn every mechanic. You need like 1000 games untill the game finally clicks for you.😊

Literally just do what CSGO does. Verify your account and let players opt into watching reported games. If a player has flagged alot of games and they turn out to be cheaters or greifers, their user score goes up and they get more validity to their claims.

Most of the issues you bring up have been addressed by dota 2; all Riot needs to do is do what they do best and steal from Dota and it would fix 80% of these issues instantly Edit: To be specific, overwatch cases for banning, phone numbers for ranked to name the biggest two

Recently climbed from gold 4 to plat 4 (first time lesgo) Almost every game had a lvl 30 account. Almost 1 in 3 has a person who just runs it or trolls in a way they can't really be reported for.

I just started rank I got placed in iron 1 I’m ass. But what am I supposed to do when I have a 0/15 temo top and a bot duo combining for 2/16. This was an actual game. I was jungle, I went 9/12/4. I was flamed in chat for saying I can’t do anything with the team. Lost 23 LP and questioned why I decided to start playing ranked this week.

The only reason why I still play league since season 2 is I want to be a witch using my Coven Morgana or wanted to see people fly using my Janna, that's it, my skill far exceeds most of my teammates but it doesn't really matter if you're support, you can't carry 4 if the opposing team is on par with your skill or close to it, teamwork wins games, no matter how good and experienced you are, it's still the worst teammates that will decide if they want to get carried or not. League is dead, the only thing keeping people from playing it is because they have been attached to certain champs like myself, I only play Janna or Morgana depending on my mood, I might get winstreaks but I still stop at certain points cause it's not really fun anymore and it's just an avenue to waste time if you're bored and have nothing to do.

The point of "riot wants to keep smurfs because they buy skins" is the only point I find hard to believe. I don't see how anyone who just wants to smurf or run down some games on a bought account would want to spend $10 or more on skins. The problem of smurfs might just be a byproduct of riot being too lazy to do anything and since it increases the player count numbers at lower elos, the internal metrics just can't pick up how bad of a problem this is.

The skin thing is so right, I literally got permad with new project pyke skin years ago on like 5 accounts, and I kept making new accs buying xp boosts and getting to lvl 30 only to get permad lost few hundred, luckily now a days I type and dont get permad got almost all pyke skins and no bans. Probably the reason for smurf accounts.

I have received 1 warning my entire time playing league (since season 3) and it was for saying “fuck, I suck” after I made a bad play. Yet people will intentionally lose games, even write in chat that they “don’t care if they win” or “you deserve to lose” and nothing happens to them. And yes, I have been screaming that lvl 30 accounts are what is ruining league. Implement the phone verification for ranked! I am %100 on board with that idea!!!

I am only mad when i play a game with a scaling champ or 12/0 with some champ and my team with god complex decides to ff only cuz they are not having fun in RANKED 4/1 ff vote is scary luckly azzap lowered the chances of ff's happening but still people who ff VERY WINNABLE games is called trolling and they should be banned if you ask me..

32:44 should point out that one of the main reasons people don't report, especially inting on the enemy team, is because why would you when nothing happen? I used to report every time somebody trolled when I first started in this game but I can't remember the last time I reported somebody, Because why? It doesn't do anything. The only report that used to work was for toxicity, but now they track keywords so you don't even need to report them because if they used a keyword they will be punished and if they didn't they won't. I don't even know why we have a report system, I guess it's really just a means of venting frustration when somebody ints you even though you know nothing will happen.
