Upon rewatching this video I can't comprehend what I'm seeing. The amazing invade, Kha'Zix and Bel'Veth casually walking beside each other into lane as they gank simultaneously, half of Blue team with no boots, Cho with absolutely no stacks, the plays, the summoners spam... one for the ages.

Not buying boots whatsoever though is a very iron thing to do (unless playing Cassiopeia) I remember when my friend first got into the game and he would buy only boots (before riot made it so you can only buy one)

I was as low as iron 3 early this split, and the insane skill difference between players is exactly like this every game. You have completely new players and low silver skill level players in the same game. It's so bad tbh

Yeah I am low bronze and most games just come down to one lane lost to a smurf (or they are just complete beginners) and this dude 1v9 because low elo players don't know how to play as a team and just get picked by the 21/5/7 fed enemy.

I remember i was in Iron 4 unironically a couple of years ago (was new, i am Gold now). I remember thinking it was totally normal to have lanes go 0/10/0 by 15 minutes. I had no frame of reference so I just assumed the hard carry champs smurfs played were broken af. "OH GREAT, another 30/2/10 Yone. Yone is so broken." There were also a truly absurd number of scripters, inters, and griefers. You would be astounded at how often a smurf lost one play and tilted to the stratosphere. Oh and actual bots an average of once every 5 games or so. I have no idea how many games I both won and lost because bots attached themselves to mid and ruined the game. Honestly, I think Iron was harder than Silver or Gold in a way. Between all the smurfs, cheaters, and bots it can be borderline impossible to climb consistently unless you're at least mid-tier Silver.

This is just the nature of games with long lives. Simply put, as time goes on, more resources become available, and overall skill of the community rises. We see this in speedrun times progressively getting better and better. And in league, there was a time where an "insec" was one of the craziest plays you could do, and was only performed by very high level players... nowadays people in silver are pulling off insecs. . Idk the exact conversion, but I would venture to say if you played exactly like a diamond player played 10 years ago, in current league you would probably be low silver.

You can see the Iron skill in the botlane dragon fight when Belveth goes in alone and then, instead of backing off and giving the drake. The team continues to go in one by one and die. Totally turned the game there.

the yone isn't dealing damage for the first 2/3 of the game because he never...bought AD. he bought entirely speed items. did not even get lethality or armor pen. at 2/3 of the way in he finally bought an IE. that's why he started actually hitting people properly around that point. it's entirely down to his itemization

Absolutely brilliant concept, dude. I'll be watching every single one of these. Also, is this the quality of game we get? Yeah, pretty much. I'm bronze 4, i think, and it's getting very marginally better (no completely new people anymore) but man. The inting, the flaming, the panic flashing, the questionable builds, the afking, the throwing, the not ending, the refusing to look at the map, junglers doing jgl objectives instead of taking objectives,... yeah. XD I've been playing support fort 12 years (yes really, i just never played much ranked) and it's so hard to carry games in this elo because people don't play WITH you. I try to roam and my adc rage quits. Death ball and just raw damage is probably the best win predictor ^^"

Its not hard to carry with any role in those ranks. It just isnt. You can smash your face on the keyboard and have 90%+ winrate. Its only hard if you belong in that elo. Its the same for any other rank. You think the flaming, inting, afking, panic flashing, questionable builds get better once you rank up? Let me tell you; it doesnt. You're not gonna carry more games when you rank up simply because "your team mates are more skilled". Your team mates will still int, feed, afk, ignore your pings, refuse to group up, build questionable items. And you'll carry and rank up ONLY if you belong in a higher elo. I cant count how many games i've lost in master+ elo because of a team mate ragequitting after dying 5th time on 1v1. It doesnt get better. Apes will be apes, and u'll climb to wherever you deserve.

That Trist is actually somewhat skilled. She has the idea of what to do, but the execution isn't always there. If the Zyra was close to the same skill, they would be farm the Samira/Teemo on repeat. Impressive. Some iron players do have a pulse, contrary to popular belief

I started playing League this season, so I spent a while in iron 4 0lp. The variance in skill in these games is really funny to see because I remember getting flamed by my iron teammates because I was actually brand new to MOBAs and had no clue what I was doing lmao. I ended up trying out Riven and decided to one trick her after getting to bronze 1 and fell all the way back to iron 4, but currently I'm plat 4 and I peaked plat 2. I wish there was a way to go back and watch my old replays from when I was iron, all I have are some old highlights I clipped.

Depends what you mean with "lower". For a top50 challenger player, master games will be fun. For a silver player, iron games will be fun. Its always more fun when you face lower ranked opponents and destroy them
