Thanks for this video! I’m in japan right now and ran out of things I thought of doing. I’m on my way to cat street now and I loved Yanaka Ginza!! Also hit Nezu shrine and Nakamise street. Great video very helpful :)

Love your list! Ive been to most of the places you've mentioned here and Yanaka is by far my favourite of the list, its so peaceful there, especially the cemetary (sounds creepy but Japanese cemetaries give off a peaceful atmosphere rather than a sad one)

I can totally agree on Nezu Shrine and Yanaka Ginza. In fact we discovered Yanaka Ginza by accident when we walked north from Nezu Shrine. We never heard of that place before.

I'd say Tokyo University is another hidden gem.. the place was totally awesome. beautiful buildings, awesome environment.. there are like tons of instagram worthy places. There is this one "hidden" park called Sanshiro Pond, it was so beautiful. I went there during winter and got to watch kendo training in one of their training halls beside a soccer field. and you can find the statue of Hachiko and its owner Hidesaburo (a lecturer in one of Tokyo Uni campuses).. tourist definitely wont put a university in their tour list.. haha

- Omoide Yokocho Shinjuku maybe also interesting: Golden Gai - Shimokitazawa, good for interesting, cheap shopping - Omotesando Hills, Cat Street & Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo -> beautiful architecture - Yanaka Ginza (old school part of Tokyo) - Nezu Shrine (similar to the most famous Shrine in Kyoto) - Piwang Kochijoji (lots of Izakayas), very local place You're welcome.

Seriously this is cool.. was just in Tokyo mid November for the first time and visited some of these locations without knowing what they were. We actually walked down cat street. Neat to see some places that we visited in a video other than mine.

1. I visited the Torii’s in Tokyo that you showed, and golden gai and that place that you called yanaka Ginza, but 2. I know that place as nippori and not as yanaka Ginza 3. Y U SHOW THIS VIDEO A WEEK AFTER I VISITED TOKYO. aaaargh, i could have visited those places :( Me: yeah, I visited whole Tokyo city, I’ve seen everything You: hold my beer.... 4. A nice city view can be had by taking a walk over the top of the Rainbow Bridge. There is a free walk / cycle way all the way across.

I love to spend time at Jiyugaoka and Kichijoji area when in Tokyo. Also very nice cafes and spots to make great photos. Got to know few locals out on streets there too. Quite social people in these areas. 😁😁😊

Great locations Hannah. I’ve been to all except golden Gai. My fav one was shmakitazawa. The light there was amazing and the fashion people wore was awesome 😊 I went to Shinjuku I think and the streets behind tower records was very interesting. Lots of trendy fashion, people and stores and so many dogs and dog friendly cafes 😆
