I keep missing these. Why can't money grow on trees, so I can watch these on a private jet or something? Great show. Protecting 1A is difficult. I'm rooting for him.

FIRE is excellent. Maybe the foremost legal advocacy group for free speech in the entire country. GL and JHs work has been both informative and galvanizing

Sadly, too many people fundamentally fail to grasp that the right of free speech is the most fundamentally necessary of all rights, beyond "Life, Liberty and pursuit of happiness". For without it, literally ALL other rights can be suspended or removed. Our denial of ability to discuss why doing so will have consequences well beyond those what are presented and therefore pave the way for authoritarian rule. What we see happening today, is a fundamental faith so deeply accepted and willingly provided to the state, so as to give them full decision making power over any such decisions. The era in which we live today has never one time, been in as much jeopardy as it has been for coming up on a decade now. Could cite multiple examples, but those who would display the words I now write, are aligned with the very idea's that are so terrifying to us all. . It is not those who decide what is and his not to be acceptable speech... it is those who decide WHO gets to decide what is and is not to be acceptable speech.

This is such a rampant problem. I feel like many former students, myself included, would have a legal case against the schools that punished and silenced us if we could find legal help. Is there a way to share one's case with FIRE to see if it might interest their attorneys?

I teach at a small univeristy: The NCAA used its complete power over college athletes to saturate ever single gym hall, arena, and locker room with far left accusatory posters. It instantly hit every campus, large and small. The poor athletes were silenced to whispers, had mandatory gay rights marches and compliance with wokeness and it continues unabated. They replaced the longtime unbiased and ungendered "Sportsmanship Creed" with some implicitly accusatory statement. Sick.

Protecting free speech is "not-aphobic". It's not phobic towards anything or anyone because it protects speech for everyone. 🐿
