DWade sort of did the same thing! Signed with Li Ning in September 2012, won the 2013 finals wearing Way of Wade Encores (which is basically his first shoe with a bit more ventilation from what I remember). Not that anyone cares about Li Ning today, let alone 9 years ago.

Li Ning is in my top basketball shoe companies slightly behind nike. Nike may have more money behind them and have more rnd but Li Ning is proving they care about performance more.

Under Armour just released a pair of shoes called SlipSpeed. The flow foam is all pink on them so I think we're gonna start seeing different color UA Flow soles in the near future

I picked these up because I absolutely LOVED the 1st signature shoe UA gave Curry; I think I still have maybe 4 pairs and I'm so glad they flotro'd this particular model, and I knew they'd completely nail it - I love the colorway too, you're trippin bro 😜👌🏽 But after watching this I'm even more excited to hoop this week 🙌🏽

I'll definitely be picking up a pair if a better colourway comes along. The 4 flotro is my first curry shoe, which is abysmal on my behalf, but I love them. Didn't realise when I got them for retail I was lucky. Just wish it was easier to play basketball here where I live in New Zealand.

look amazing, and i have had 2 currys with flow and i am huge zoom air jordan nike etc person and i love flow and i hear others say its not good cushion, maybe ya have to not be 100-140lbs to feel it better i am 230 and the cushion is good for my knees and my feet never hurt playing ball for 1.5-2 hours

I have the Curry 1 in a custom colorway, I wish UA didn't discontinue allowing people to make customs, I would have bought a second pair. I have pretty much hooped in those shoes more often than not and these might be that pair to do it.

Shiiit, 6 Years later and those Curry 2.5's are still🔥🔥🔥I swear none of mine have fallen apart and I hoop hard. As old as I am I still have decent defense and handles for days, so there is a lot of stopping, pivoting, side stepping in my game. Man I wonder if these are going to stand the test of time. 🤔

The 10s have so many subtle improvements that are overlooked at first glance like a slightly wider and slightly more concave flow outsole. Gives so much more stability and grip when compared with all the other flow models. The additional heel support provides a lot more lockdown and keeps your foot way more secure as well. The most complete flow shoe imo

As far as I can tell, and maybe I’m wrong, but Kobe won a championship in the Adidas The Kobe which was his first signature with that company. That was early 2000 and he would win against the Pacers in the 1999/20 season

I was thinking about this just yesterday 9with regard to Jordan brand updating the retro tech). I got a great deal at Dick's on some 36 lows ($120 instead of $175) and when I stepped into them I was like YES. They felt great, they look great and it's all due to the tech. That being said I'm a 3, 4, and 5 guy. Why the hell haven't they put a zoom strobel or replaced the PEU with Cushlon? Or both? A simple strobel replacement would make them way more comfortable then the bricks they come as and would also justify the price increase they've done. $210 for the same late 80's tech with worse materials (most of the time) is really a smack in the face. At the same time, why would they? Most of the hot releases are still selling out (Black Canvas and Canyon Purple 4's damn it - pissed I didn't get either). Until we demand better from the brand, they'll keep pumping out the retros as is.

Thank you for another great video. The only thing that I don't like about the curry shoes now is that using foam as the sole causes a crazy amount of squeak when walking on tile or wood flooring. I can't wear them for anything but basketball because of the squeak with every step. Does this happen to anyone else?

The Curry 10 isn’t doing as well as it could because of the look. While they did make performance updates, which is great, aesthetically they look REALLY similar in a lot of ways to 9’s which also kinda resemble the 8’s (but not as much as the 9,s and 10’s resemble each other) Not necessarily a bad thing but for fans who aren’t 100% hoopers and just rock Curry’s casually, the 10 seems a but lazy (imo). It’s like when Nike used to make “Nike Elite” or “Playoff Edition” models of already released models. Becomes more of a Curry 9.5 instead of a true 10. I do however like the flotro concept which is like Nike’s protro And Adidas Restomod. Mainly because I’m not being told it’s a new shoe, but rather I know I’m buying an updated old shoe. Looks less lazy to me. But who am I but one consumer? Lol
