Only thing is the rule changes, letting guards dribble and shoot in ya face is one of the reasons they double him at half, if you could play physical with Steph like you could with AI maybe a little different. That being said Steph clears AI by miles
@t-god24397 ай бұрын
This is one of the best takes I’ve seen. I have Steph over ai as well. But to think whole defenses didn’t have to commit to ai as well is crazy. With curry it’s half court. With ai it’s full court, because he was a great transition player. Plus he was so fast and was always moving. I think people really underestimate the caliber of athlete he was especially his stamina. Dude could just keep going reguardless of all the hits he took
@savonsanders86847 ай бұрын
The rule change doesn’t help Steph. Teams are always allowed to be more physical with Steph!! Steph and Kyrie have multiple seasons averaging 25+ PPG on just 4 FT or less!! Steph gets held, he gets grabbed on, and fouled in front of these refs, but still gets no calls because he’s expected to make those shots foul or not. The GS vs LA series in 2023 was a prime example. DLo and Reeves both were flopping and went to the line more than Steph did, and when you’re watching Steph run across the court you could see them fouling the crap out of him, and no whistle was blown at all! But when GS barely touched Bron or AD down the stretch or when DLo and Reeves would throw their heads back, it was an automatic whistle which explained the free throw disparity. That series LA shot twice as many FTs as GS. GS in every 3rd and 4th QT was in the penalty or bonus so GS was facing the refs that series as well.

Hell, this past season it got to a point (especially when Draymond was suspended) that basically every team just started picking up Curry full court pretty much every time he stepped on the floor. Good teams to bad teams, just regular season. There were even countless times not even at the end of quarters or games where they were starting to double team him near the opposite 3 point line just to get the ball away from him.
