Its not really surprising that food from food wars works out well. A chef by the name of Yuki Morisaki provides food wars with its recipes since chapter 5. She's also the author of the official food wars recipe book which features some 27 dishes that came out in the series.

You can find recipes for this with measurements. Not all of them are the same. I dont mind that personally. I often combine recipes for the same dish anyways.

Isn't omurice supposed to have the omelette on top of the rice? And then you slice open the omelette and a custardy interior spills out over the rice? This omelette looked a lot firmer than what I've seen in other preparations. Also, I'm used to seeing wine added to the arborio early in the cooking process and then reduced off before the stock is added. I suppose there's enough going on here that you wouldn't notice the difference. Still looks pretty awesome.
