Joe Buck may have sucked as a commentator during the 2000's but his "Red Sox fans have longed to hear it!" call is pretty good

Oh come on, I thought this was going to be the widescreen version! It surely exists somewhere else in MLB’s archives.

Most ‘Widescreen’ versions of these games are just zoomed in 4:3, I honestly don’t think they recorded in wide screen back then

How fitting. To end the curse of the Bambino, they got jersey number 3 out, and scored 3…the same number Ruth wore in Boston.

Yes!! I am sure that it’s somewhere hiding in the MLB vault along with a few other rarities such as the 2002 & 2003 World Series in HD widescreen.

@@falco2911 They might, they might not, but we'll have to see. All I do know is that Game 4 of the 2004 World Series does exist in HD widescreen! There is evidence in which someone took home video of he and his family reacting to the final out of the series and they were watching the game in the HD widescreen format! Since the video is pretty old, you'll have to scroll the clips a little bit until you come across it.

I didn't start watching baseball until I was 8 in 2009, but it seems that Lowe has a bit of a mixed reputation in Red Sox circles.
@bostonredsox493 ай бұрын
@@SmoothCriminal12 He had his fair share of legendary moments in franchise history. No hitter in 2002, got out of a 2nd and 3rd, 1 out jam in the 9th inning to win Game 5 of the 2003 ALDS at Oakland, led the league in saves during the 2000 season...but when he missed? He missed and then some :( In 2004 he was 14-12 with an ERA of 5.42. Coupled with this he would get HAMMERED at Yankee Stadium. I was under the impression that Wakefield was gonna start Game 7. When I heard it was Lowe? Oh did I panic. He did alright in Game 4 of the ALCS but this was Game 7 at Yankee Stadium and on 2 days rest. But that's why baseball is amazing. Literally the next day you can right a wrong and become historic for it.
