I actually lost count of how many times I’ve watched this game… a beautiful sight to behold. And the introduction, showing fans of all ages from both teams, narrated by Bryan Cranston of all people… the PERFECT way to set the tone for this legendary Game 7 of the 2016 World Series. And to hear the sound of the ball hit the mitt to end the drought, over a century of pain, mockery, and futility gone in an instant… the PERFECT ending… there’s no other feeling like it. And seeing those reaction videos of the Cubs’ WS win, especially of the old folks who’ve waited so long for that moment… it only makes it better. 11+/10 is my grade. 😊 Now if only the (In/Guar)dians, Mariners, Detroit Lions, Sacramento Kings, and even the Toronto Maple Leafs could end their long championship droughts and give their fanbases the same feeling the Cubs fans felt that fateful day… ☺️

As storybook as it gets. - 2 teams with storied championship droughts. - Game 7 with the possibility of a blown 3-1 lead. - Cities with recent champions in other sports (Cavaliers and Blackhawks). If any baseball game should get a documentary, it's this one.

Part of Baseball lore was that in the American League you had a team that seemed cursed in Boston and one in the National League in Chicago. It became a tradition. So if they had still not won a title, baseball would still retain some of its magic and allure and be better for it. But no more.

No. As I explained to someone else above, it’s not even the greatest world series game, let alone game ALL time. It’s a great game, but you need to set your bias aside if you want to take about all time greatEST games.

@Johnfisher123452 ай бұрын
Yeah, you definitely need to put your bias aside. It ranks very high as far as world series games go, fairly high as far as postseason games, and pretty good as far as all times games go. Above average for sure, but not a real contender for greatest of ALL time.
