I really liked this video. I felt like it really gave me greater insight into the setting of Curseborne and a lot of cool flavorful information on the Iscariots. It makes me want to play an Iscariot character. I hope to see more videos about Curseborne families. I also liked the Jesus Christ Superstar reference!

I hope there will be Mortal Accursed in the future, because while these lineage are certainly Cursed, they still have a lot of benefit to balance that curse. So, maybe a Mortal Accursed would be those who have more traditional type og Curse like bad luck, ugly to everyone, forgettable, but develop technique to channel their Curse to their benefit.

these iscariot cannibals remind me of a episode of the 2001 Night visions horror tv anthology show ep. 12 Cargo, where a hapless sailor discovers they are smuggling cannibalistic supernatural creatures who masquerade as humans into the USA to serve as hitmen for American criminal organizations, their back story , they were used by the Czars to terrorize Russian citizens and used by the Russian mafia as hitmen.

from the author Tim Curran from two of his short stories The Plague Maiden(Horrors of War) & Maggots an idea: the Iscariots have a boogeyman something even they consider a myth and they fear called the Lord of Worms. Basically its a parasitic hive mind sentinent maggots who possess mortals and force their charges to eat dead rotting meat with dead humans their favorite meal. The humans they infest are kept alive by the maggots , wounds are regenerated etc. if their infested victim ides somehow like brain death something the maggots cant regenerate , the maggots feed on the dead human charge and go into hibernation until they infest another human. Supposedly according to legends, the maggots are part of a larger whole , a sort of Lord of Worms, however while the Lord of worms preys on rotting human meat, their favorite meal are Curse borne and among the Curseborne the Iscariots are a delicacy.

The Judas myth of the Iscariots reminds me of an encounter I had with a group of black hearts the other night. They seemed convinced that their true progenitor was Caine, something about how he was the first outcast and cursed to wander alone like they were. Weird bunch, who’d idolize someone like that?

I am strongly reminded of the 1992 movie Innocent Blood, where a woman eats people's neck flesh and drinks their blood - but always shoots her victims in the head afterwards, to prevent them from rising as undead such as her. She is revealed to be a sort of ghoul or vampire-like creature with glowing eyes, but she tries her best to kill only the wicked and generally seems like a person trying to be moral while plagued by an unrelenting hunger she can barely contain and sometimes fails to contain. The film features both memorable performances and scenes - so much so that I recall a fair few of them nearly three decades later. I couldn't resist mentioning it here, given how similar some of the elements are.

I will have to seek it out!

@@TheGentlemanGamer It's a rather unique movie and I do recommend checking it out if one enjoys old school horror movies with a dash of self-aware humour - some parts actually echo Pulp Fiction's humour. Image search does it little justice, sadly.
