I'm sure it's been said already, but the second song isn't actually switching beats 2 and 3; it's actually swapping the second half of one measure with the first half of the following measure. So beats 3 and 4 are moving together to trade with the next beats 1 and 2. There's not really an elegant way to phrase that though, and honestly it's still fun to listen to.
