I really am amazed at how non-consistent Chad is with these ratings. Sometimes he rates a commercial based on how cursed it actually is. Sometimes just based on how good it is. Sometimes based on how terrible it is at advertising the thing. There is no rhyme or reason behind this. The rating system itself is cursed and I love it.

The Kenny's pig and chicken love story is legitimately a well-done commercial. I had such a strong feeling it was all a setup to a fakeout and it made me feel sad, because you can tell some talented people made it who would rather be doing movies or shows.

Here’s another interesting tidbit: Gramps was a character introduced alongside Sonny, hence the names they got. They have a dynamic where Gramps would poor a bowl of Cocoa Puffs, and encourage Sonny to go crazy when they want to achieve something. When Sonny went solo, it didn’t feel the same, but then there was a brief period where Gramps made a return, hence why we have a modern commercial of Cocoa Puffs that features Gramps as the Judge.

The Pimple Gel commercial was definitely dubbed in post for some reason, but I doubt the actress is as young as Chad implied. She was probably in her late teens or even early twenties, and she just looked young because... well, she's Asian. Being perceived as much younger than they are is something a lot of Asian women struggle with, and not in the good "you don't look a day over twenty" way. I know a woman who's partner got harassed because people assumed she was underage, despite the fact that she was the older one in the relationship.

That McDonalds commercial is psychologically designed to just infect a child's mind and program them to want McDonalds. Its purely sensory overloading and dopamine tricks. It's the whole reason they have that stupid mascot, so they can use the Minions style "annoying" characters while still keeping a recognizable shape for a kid to want their product (it aint even about the food) Quite literally its the same reason the creepy Spider-Man/Elsa videos exist on KZbin Kids, its just noise and colors that light up a child's brain and makes them keep staring.

@@boxorak Depends on what you mean/who you're asking. This new stuff is definitely better for the company, less effort, probably cost them nothing in the grand scheme and is guaranteed to lure in children. For the general public probably worse, kids are gonna scream and cry for McDonalds already regardless of the commercial used, but now they'll be screaming mindlessly for the "red box" and adults have to see this crap alongside whatever else is on TV I know I hate it. I spend all my life learning to avoid and ignore advertising IRL. And fuck just watching the bits in this video I could feel the stupid neuron trappings going on in my own head despite knowing full well there was nothing substantial in that commercial.

Some thoughts: -For the Trolli commercial, I'm surprised you didn't mention the guy opening his mouth like a door. That left me squirming. -Come to think of it, plenty of these were just nasty. The Pac-Man vomit, the sound when the guy who doesn't drink milk's arms break off... -And as a PSA watcher, if you want a littering PSA that's striking, take a look at the "Clean Up New York" PSA made by David Lynch. -I was expecting the pig and chicken commercial to be some gruesome PSA. I did get some elements of the ending twist right though -The last one reminds me of the One Missed Call American remake cover

The Pac man and the ghostly adventures commercial awoken so much nostalgia. For those of you who don't know it was a show on Disney XD in the 2014s I believe. I was a big fan of it. So much so I bought one of the toys they made. The one that's yellow with a big tounge. The toy in the commercial weren't all they had to offer. I remember there being a fire variant that was not advertised and was rare at the time. Seen it once in the store and pictures of it online. I remembered that I wanted the giant one but specially the ones that's angry. For some reason the ones on store shelves didn't have angry eyes. Such a shame for me and the fans of the show that it abruptly ended. They didn't do a finale despite it being teased on the show. Btw the slime is the ghosts he ate. You can see this in the slime because there are googly eyes in it.
