Boiled peanuts in a bag, bought from local people right in front of their house, is super common here in the south. They’re quite good too! However it seems like someone tried making like… a gumbo with it? But gumbo usually has rice, and the peanuts seem to have replaced the rice. Probably would not be good and would be very messy, cause you peel the boiled peanuts, lmao.

@@catisyellen9877 I mean technically yes. Boiled peanuts are made with not fully ripened peanuts, so the shells are not as hard as they normally are, especially after boil. Still most people prefer to peel them, kinda like how some people like to eat shrimp tails vs peeling them off. So if you aren’t a shell eater… yeah it’d be awkward and messy

4:02 I don't know if it's a tradition from where I live, but my grandma has this recipe where she mixes Coca Cola into rice as a way of cooking it and when it comes out it's brown and it's got a sort of sweet taste to it. It also makes the rice slightly chewier but not in like a gross rubbery way. I know it probably sounds gross but I always eat it and it's genuinely not that bad.

Stryxo mentioned being willing to try a peanut butter and jelly burger. So, maybe 15 years ago, I couldn't decide if I wanted to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or a cheeseburger, so I decided to combine the two into one sandwich. I made it a few times and posted about it on Facebook. Of course, everybody was grossed out by the idea and I got totally razzed for it. 5-10 years, my cousins start posting about their travels and how they are going to restaurants that serve peanut butter burgers and peanut butter and jelly burgers and they tried them and loved them. They finally had to admit they were wrong to scoff at me. I then look it up and find that, indeed, this is now a popular item and there are plenty of recipes on the internet for it. Over the years, this happens with other weird cravings I have, such as peanut butter rice, peanut butter and pickle sandwiches, ham-wrapped watermelon, and whipped cream on pizza (ok, there's one video of a guy trying it and liking it), among many others.

On the communion wafers: there is a large part of Christianity (the Catholic Church most notably) that believe in transubstantiation, or that the communion wafers and wine literally become the body and blood of Christ due to the consecration done to them prior to the actual communion ritual. Something to note about this however, is that they do not believe that the wafers and wine become human flesh and blood- they're still wafers and wine, just wafers and wine that are part of Jesus' body and blood respectively. On the flavor however, I'd say it probably tastes like monster-flavored wet solid and monster, since communion wafers don't really taste like anything
