@@henri7987 from what I can figure, the ice floor lowers any acceleration and deceleration by a lot. By timing certain moves right before the ice is formed, you carry the acceleration from solid ground onto the ice with low friction. That's what I think why moves like Sol's 6S where he makes a very quick step forwards that usually would stop at an inch goes rocketing forwards.
