Cursed - Ways to Die & Ending

A compilation of the ways you can meet your demise in Cursed, a passion project by DisasterSquad in the style of games like Last Half of Darkness and Uninvited. I knew of this game for a while but hadn't sat down to give it a try until now. A girl named Jennifer descends into some creepy mines and you go in to rescue her.
It actually has two sequels and all three games are free to play. It does have a lot of nostalgic music and sound effects from various NES games, particularly Uninvited, Friday the 13th, and Dragon Spirit.
When you kill possessed Jennifer, her headless body will pop up as an enemy but doesn't appear to attack or kill you (no matter how long I waited). Progressing dialogue in the ending was a bit finicky so apologies for any delays.

3:09 "It's so cliche looking, you almost laugh to yourself." I think that 1 second later the ghost didn't appreciate the gesture... Edit: while the very end of the ending (that could've sounded better) is probably just a joke, I like to think that's MC's PTSD started kicking in, and even still, after all the horrible stuff he went through, he'd just do that Alcedor from Infernax staredown before obliterating Jennifer (again) lol Double edit, after watching Cursed 2 deaths: nope, that ending's not a joke lol

The second game uses the transition effect from Shadowgate/Uninvited and is significantly better. Should have the deaths up for it soon-ish and looking forward to trying the third game.

Fun fact: If you quickly move into the previous room on the bridge death, you'll stop it. It triggers when the ACME "falling down a cliff" noise ends, so if you're a fast clicker you can dodge it (I know cos I did it myself).

Not mad, just think it's interesting all the music choices. 0:00 Sweet Home (NES) - Cave Theme (Pretty sure the sound effect of the bridge breaking is the death sound from Sweet Home as well. And maybe the game over sound here as well.) 0:44 Uninvited (NES) - Dead 0:52 The Immortal (NES) - Battle Theme 1:25 I don't know what this one is but it sounds very familiar to me. 1:59 This also sounds like it's from Sweet Home but I can't seem to place it. 2:14 The jumpscare sound is the jumpscare sound from Friday The 13th Nes. 2:28 Okay, this straight-up sounds like an Infernax boss theme. 2:46 3:34 Also sounds like an Infernax boss theme. 3:06 Uninvited (NES) - Danger I honestly have no clue about the rest of the songs but feel free to add to the list if you know them.

The death sound is from Dragon Spirit when you die, but it could have shown up in other games.

this one is short and very janky but it's by far the most scary out of the series. the others never recapture the terror some of these evoke, with the sudden, blunt terror of this game's scares, you really never feel safe

So, I think there was a missed death here, involving the area at the entrance where you need a ladder. If you go up there a second time after getting the items you needed, the crushed corpse there will come to life and kill you if you dally around too long, or maybe you can't escape. I dunno.

I did try going back there, especially as one orb shows it getting up (and returning has the corpse gone) so maybe I just didn't wait around long enough there.

What? I don't really understand. If the Jen we rescued in the first game is a demon, then why is she a normal human in the sequel? Does it means between Cursed 1 and Cursed 2 the real Jennifer still kept away somewhere, so we don't actually manage to rescue her in the first game?

The chances are that you are correct. In Cursed 3 the 1st game's protagonist is swallowed by darkness.

What happened was... SPOILER!!! Jennifer was more-or-less impersonated by a banshee in service to Malus, having stolen Jen's soul to take on her appearance. Jen's body was kept hidden away when the Cult of Malus started setting up in town.

You’ve missed a death. I haven’t played the game, but there’s a part where you find a corpse (where you get killed by the Blood Skeleton enemy in this video). At some point, returning there, the corpse will kill you
