As someone who grew up in another part of world, where we were taught cursive handwriting from young age, and now I live in North America, what I see is that everyone is using print writing. It is hard for people here to understand my handwriting, which would lead to me being left behind, in a way, that even during interviews, I can see being judged. Imagine working with someone where you might need to use whiteboard, and you can't understand your coworkers handwriting. This made me think, I need to improve my PRINT handwriting, but to me PRINT has always been, something when I need to write in capital letters. So, I starting writing a b c d in small print format. I think, writing print or cursive although each of them have their advantage and/or disadvantage, is mainly influenced on which part of world, you do your studying mostly, and everyone should know how to write in both ways. As both have their own importances.

As a dyslexic who was trained by a professional, I can confirm I learned cursive, not print. I wrote only in cursive throughout grade school until i went to high school. After I had the audacity to go to the principal because all my teachers wouldn't accept cursive (no exceptions) and was told I had to print. I should have used a crayon at that point, at least then the papers I had to redo because they were unreadable would have Ben whimsical. Tldr: I hate handwriting print.

What happened after? Did your school let you write in cursive? I am so invested
@zdgoat8888Ай бұрын
@Pulkit__7 No, they sided with the teachers. They actually told me I should type and print my assignments. Like write by hand in class because I couldn't leave. Then on my own time, retype everything at the library and print it, which wasn't free BTW. I ended up just printing by hand and getting points marked off for penmanship and spelling mistakes I would not have done in cursive.

Please show me a study how much time I will save using cursive versus using print. Is it 5% faster is it 10% faster or even 50% 😂 that's the only thing we care about 🎉

Ohh such a good question! But I'm guessing it will be different for each individual. If you time yourself let us know which was faster.

@@nicolesantamariaot I finally found one video it showed that writing out a paragraph cursive was 10 seconds faster other than that all studies conclude that there's no difference between cursive speed and print speed also why do I have to look it up aren't you a teacher that should know this information ?
@lalalahamesfirieinchipotleАй бұрын
In my experience, once cursive becomes second nature, you save approximately a tenth of a second per letter (rough average). If a 1000 word text has 4700 letters, you save 470 seconds which is 7.8 minutes. This is a major difference in my opinion
@freegender930Ай бұрын
@@lalalahamesfirieinchipotle that's astonishing since no studies can show that conclusion
