I'm not sure why you would use that type of trailer ball anyway. I'm not sure I would trust a ball that just snaps in place. Surely you have somewhere on that truck where you could have another receiver hitch with ball already installed. I did until I converted the only few trailers I owned that had 1 7/8 in. balls over to 2". I still keep a 1 7/8" ball in my tool box, but haven't used it in over 30 yrs. I have a completely different hitch and ball for the 2 5/16 in. ball (used only when pulling my travel trailer) and another mounted in the bed of my truck for the horse trailer.

The problem is thats a piece of crap. I would not use the garbage set up to haul a trailer around my own driveway let alone out on the road. I can not believe a company would risk a lawsuit with that setup
