OMG, thank you! I just got an Ingersoll Rand Garage Mate compressor and couldn’t find any way to adjust my pressure switch! It was supposed to cut out at 135 PSI and it was cutting out at 125 PSI. Cut on is 105, which is fine. I could get the pressure up to 135 but it raised my cut in to 115. Now I know ro use the Philips head screw to being the cut out and back the slotted screw back counter clockwise. (Mine has a slotted for the main screw and Philips in place of your plastic screw)

Also, No mention of which direction has what effect, Not so much meant as criticism, but as expounding upon the information available to harness a wider scope of known variables! Godspeed all !

That would be counter clockwise on the same screw, I would assume.

So, on the craftsman air compressors, the lid only contains the wiring diagram. This is because they intentionally leave out all such instructions on their user manual as well. Craftsman air compressors are set with factory cut in/cut out, and are not intended to be adjusted by the user. They even put a big glob of hat glue over the brass screw to try hiding that setting.

Notice that the engine is tilted forward. That's another story. I had been working on it with rear winched to ceiling and engine end on a scissor list. It shifted and humpty dumpty fell. Sheared top mounting bolts on both sides. Another bolt removal project. Dictates wheel removsl on the other side.

The problem is thats a piece of crap. I would not use the garbage set up to haul a trailer around my own driveway let alone out on the road. I can not believe a company would risk a lawsuit with that setup

I'm not sure why you would use that type of trailer ball anyway. I'm not sure I would trust a ball that just snaps in place. Surely you have somewhere on that truck where you could have another receiver hitch with ball already installed. I did until I converted the only few trailers I owned that had 1 7/8 in. balls over to 2". I still keep a 1 7/8" ball in my tool box, but haven't used it in over 30 yrs. I have a completely different hitch and ball for the 2 5/16 in. ball (used only when pulling my travel trailer) and another mounted in the bed of my truck for the horse trailer.

Hi. Is there any way to increase cut in pressure but keeping cut out the same?
@gadasavideos8564
@gadasavideos8564 5 ай бұрын
Maybe note cutout psi. Then raise both with first screw that moves both until cut in is where you want. Then reverse 2nd screw to see if you can reduce cutout back to what you noted without affecting cut in. Might depend if compressor is designed for cut in and out that you want to achieve

The shoot control handle on these has been nothing but trouble on mine ! A split pin has come out and handle does nothing but flop around now for left right . Yet It will move the tip up and down To get pin back in will take tearing entire thing apart ! Might even try a small cotter pin !

Interesting on the loctite. I just did a friends. My plan was to test fit the helicoil and then loctite it. Found that they won't screw back out anyway so I guess it doesn't matter about having the loctite.

Anyone note the stud in the tank? Not sure if I previously had tank off but the nut holding recoil and tank at front was way too tight. That stud also holds down the coil. After some effort to remove nut from stud I used some locktite when threading it into block and made sure not to over tighten the nut.

So did the new belt and belt covers work? Enjoyed this video well done.
@gadasavideos8564
@gadasavideos8564 Жыл бұрын
Maybe. Maybe not. He came by this spring with the belt broken but I think that the belt had jammed because about 6 inches had worn down symmetrically until it was nothing left and broke. He had a 68$ oem belt with him. I installed it and noticed a lot of crap around the spindle and noted that the new covers had started to wear. I felt that the smaller engagement pulley was a bit stiff so was going to replace it. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong pulley so had to reorder. Haven't got around to the replacement though. As of yesterday he's still cutting with the oem belt.

One of those constant throat clearers i hear.. gurd a lot of the time is the culprit of that as well as albuteral intake if asthmatic.. my dad did it all the time which annoyed the hell outta me is why i bring it up. He started taking the purple pill for his acid reflux he didnt know or think he had but appareny at night is when it happened and ended up eating a lot of the lining of his throat away over the years. Theres a name for that condition but it slips my mind. He ended up getting throat cancer in his age but isnt what took him out.. heart did that.. so you sound younger and may want to look into that unless youve been sick recently and just recovering.. never hurts to check.. unless you dont want to know.. which is what i think gave my dad his heart attack. He told the damn doctors he didnt want to know if he had cancer or not, said he wanted to be tested for any other issues that couod be causing his throat to swell.. but they told him and a week later his heart freaked out on him. As goes life.. sadly..

I mentioned in video that I had to drill out the bolt holding the lever to the shaft and I messed that up. Result is that the lever is now turned some degrees clockwise from it's original position on the shaft. That screws up the shifter in 1 and r1 and r2 because lever become vertical and rod can't control it plus there was play of the lever on the shaft. I will post a 2nd video of my solution.

Was just thinking of shooting the update video while blowing with it this morning. Just as I finished I was going forward with lever in reverse. Looks like possibly the original 1/2 rod snapped at the bolt hole where the exterior lever attaches.

Well this same unit developed quite the leak between uses. This time right out the primer nipple. Turns out the float had fuel in it. Not sure what caused it as no obvious hole but new float fixed it.

They have a vent hole in the carb body it will flood if its dirty , float pop a leak when the gas sits in the carb year after year the corrosion they get a pin hole. Bronze floats always been the worst , reason they went with plastic . the 20s to 80s they used bronze . you lean to shake them thats the best way to tell if they have fuel trapped in them.
