Hey Trent loved the series, great to see you make it happen. Appreciated you taking the time to help teach us the big fish tricks when we joined you a couple years ago. I still haven’t broke 15 lbs on that pond, but maybe this will be the year. Keep it up and good luck. Jeff

Heck of a big fish to end on sir. You’ll have to do a rod and reel review on that new one you got in sure a lot of people are interested in it

Not a bad idea! I think the boys are going to soften up the tip just a bit and maybe I’ll show the comparison, especially when they get ready to start selling them.
@zachreynolds37272 жыл бұрын
I was just telling my buddy that the other day someone needs to make a rod with a medium tip that runs into a hard or medium hard backbone fast enough to connect with them but soft enough through the tip to see them bit it
@TrentWilliamsOutdoors12 жыл бұрын
@@zachreynolds3727 sounds like these boys are doing just that!

That was my favorite video so far. Watching that fish take line was awesome. Made me feel as I was there heart pumping and all!! Wow congrats. Can’t wait for the day I fee it in real life. Great video!!

Thanks buddy! A few years ago I caught a 26, 28, and 39 lber all in a week's time and thought I had it all figured out. How quickly life can humble us! I hadn't caught a 26 since that week I don't believe! Feels nice to get a 23 and 26 back to back! You'll get it one day!

My dude Congratulations on the last couple days of fishing for you way to make that grind real, 26 pounder so awesome.. I never landed a big girl when I was down there but I’ll be back here in a week to try my luck again before work, keep it up bud 🤘🤘

Hey thank you for the kind words! From what I witnessed last weekend on the ice and from what I’m hearing through the week, there’s not much time left to fish. It’s been 50 degrees all week and even rained the last two nights, accompanied by heavy winds…like 50+ mph. So watch the shore line and be careful!
@offtimefisher79742 жыл бұрын
@@TrentWilliamsOutdoors1 No problems dude I respect that grind and commitment. This years winter months haven’t been much of a winter I hope for a cold snap to keep the hard water season just a little longer 🤘🤘

What size reel and drag for these bruisers?
@TrentWilliamsOutdoors12 жыл бұрын
I’m not near that technical lol. I use a bigger pflueger president and put the drag wherever it feels nice :)

Great video, no need for drone footage and all that rigamarole. I like the simplicity of your ice fishing; goes to show you don’t need a fancy tent, high dollar livescope, underwater camera, and all the rest to catch nice fish. Congrats on finding and jigging up the full adult lake trout! Did you pick up any pups, or just the big ones?
@TrentWilliamsOutdoors12 жыл бұрын
Thank you Rick! I appreciate it greatly! Yes I get some pups too but those bigger jigs weed them out pretty good. I had a pretty cool “pup catch” on this day but edited it out as I figured it wasn’t really necessary lol.
