Hey from Big Sky Country Montana…Received delivery of my Curtis Advantage Cab about two weeks ago…Grandson Nick helped me assemble the main portions of kit. Only real issue was the plumbing and a different configuration at engine attach point…Resolved with dealer assistance - advice. Snow storms are returning this afternoon. Your video was a blessing from heaven…! 😊 Dave

Hello from Big Sky Country - Central Montana. Here is an update relating to 1025R Curtis Cab install. All went well given the fact it was my first and only attempt at can install. I did replace radiator thermostat to 180F from factory 160F. I have had five occasions to plow driveways in -10F weather. Needless to say, I did wear winter attire. Totally comfortable in cab. While going through the cab install, I had a heavy reliance on your video; it was well done…I say again, thank you! I do hope Curtis made it worthwhile for you!!! God Bless Dave Great Falls MontanA

@@RockhillfarmYT Brock, I tried to install my Curtis Cab on my 2038R and ran into a problem and wanted to get your thoughts. I hope my request is appropriate on your KZbin channel. If not, please ignore my request. You have a great channel. My 2038R has the Deere third hydraulic valve option which "stacks" the third valve on top of the hydraulic couplers for the front loader. The hydraulic lines from the pump to the third valve interfere with the Curtis "A-pillar". There is not enough room between the hydro pedals and the lines to the third valve to allow the A-pillar to be installed. I posted some pictures over at the Greentractortalk site. I have been thinking of replacing the hard lines with flexible rubber hydraulic lines with right angled connections to try to give me more room. Curtis Cabs suggested modifying the front A-pillar to make the necessary room. But for now, I can't install my Curtis cab. Your thoughts? Again if my request is inappropriate please accept my apology.

@RockhillfarmYT3 жыл бұрын
The videos are coming next week for the other doors As far as the cab height, on mine it is 83 1/2 inches but the best way to measure it is height above the floorboard because your floorboard might not be the same height as mine I’m pretty sure they have that on the Curtis Industries website for every tractor model. On the 2038R and 2032R it is 60 inches above the floor board

So Brock, I am installing my Curtis Cab this weekend on my 2038R. I would like to leave the ROPS folded so that I can keep the tractor in my garage. Do you think I can install the main supports posts (that attach to the ROPS) with the ROPS folded? If the ROPS has to stay in the upright position then I will have to intall the cab (and keep the tractor) in my pole shed. Thanks. Your installation video is going to most helpful.

I would like to have the cab on in the winter, but remove to have an open station in the summer. Would this cab be an option for that?
@TrapperSamm Жыл бұрын
The only thing I would try is the floormat at around 8 minutes in. I would put the floor mat on top of the door frame because it's going to be slick if you don't.

Wow I was told from dealer the original tractor cab was the only one available. My Dealer definitely steered me in the wrong direction when it came to ordering my 2032r and Gator 835M Honor. Missing so many packages that I was told wouldn’t work that I see now totally do.

Hi Brock! I received my New Curtis Cab for my 4120 John Deere Tractor It came in a stiff carboard box framed with wood. 6'H x 7'L x 1'-6"W. How did you go about opening it? Did you lay it on it's side or open in standing up? I just don't want anything to break in it when opening.
@RockhillfarmYT2 жыл бұрын
It seems like laying it down would make more sense but I specifically remember doing it standing up. It was all pretty well packaged inside of there and we didn’t break anything Congrats on the cab

Why didn't you wire the heater to the switchbox? Why did you do direct to battery? I'm installing mine next week so need to make a decision.
@RockhillfarmYT2 ай бұрын
It’s been over three years ago, so I honestly don’t remember. It seems like we were just following the instructions that came with it Probably because it has its own switch in a convenient location. I’ve been really happy with the cab. Very durable.

This was a damn good thorough video Brock, I've been toying with the idea of cab, or an upgrade to a 3R with a cab. Not sure if I want to make that jump yet, price point on them is quite a jump. Is it safe to assume I could put a fan in this cab?
@RockhillfarmYT2 жыл бұрын
Yes sir. I have 2 fans in mine It would be nice to have an air conditioner but you’re talking about a very expensive cab at that point. I’d love to have a 3046 with a cab but not ready to spend that money I tell people that this is like owning an older jeep. We used to have a jeep and we only put the doors on it in the winter. It stays really warm in the winter, and the rest of the year you have a windshield and a canopy basically so it’s not like it’s hotter than an open station. you actually have shade
@JeffreyGordonTheTank3 жыл бұрын
Little confused about the rear window. Looks like to open it you have to break the tape seal that holds part of the mat under the seat. Am I seeing that wrong?
@RockhillfarmYT3 жыл бұрын
You tape Velcro onto the back window and the mat is Velcro On the edges. You are simply undoing the Velcro between them. It’s done that way all the way around the mat so you can actually remove that whole back mat if you want to When I do the video comparing the different door options I will make sure to remove that back glass on camera

What is the height to the top of the cab from the ground highest point and can you still fold your rops down
@RockhillfarmYT3 жыл бұрын
The Rops still fold just like normal. The highest point on my cab is 83 inches, but the best way to measure is from the floorboard Curtis lists height from the floorboard on their site for every model. On the 2038R it is listed as 60 inches. I measure it as 59 on mine

@RockhillfarmYT2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure I know what you mean about sealing in the front. if you’re talking about the actual frame of the cab it’s got that big overhang I have a drip rail that prevents leakage. If you mean the doors they have the weatherseal already on them
@RockhillfarmYT2 жыл бұрын
Or, if you’re talking about the front window it has a really thick weather seal on it and when you pull down on the handles it tightens down and compresses that seal.
