It doesn't matter what the other person did to you - if you've done something that contributed to your own injury or loss, the court won't allow you to weaponise the law against them. That's probably also why the suit doesn't ever address or contextualize the fact that NLU was part of a rap beef - which is of course foolishness because it's not like no one's going to know unless they explicitly say it.

To my way of thinking, the lawsuit SHOULD have called out all of the content creators who only started making hip hop commentary after the beef started popping. My personal opinion and I have no proof, but I think that Drake is trying to get UMG to separate themselves from Kendrick, which would intern stop Kendrick altogether from releasing music.
