I have both ... I've tested it on bass and so far and I like equator over soothe.. especially for $40... I can take out so much resonance to where I can hear the string vibration and it's half the latency.
@perfectharmany3 ай бұрын
I'll have to try that on bass. Thanks for the comment.

Nice review I love your style! Just a heads up, you can group the inserts and bypass them both at the same time in one click (group tracks, in Globals select Insert g tick on Bypass)

It is a cool plug-in, I tried it out for just dialogue, definitely makes your voice sound a little cleaner, Weeds out some of those muddy frequencies pretty well Today I figured I'd see how it works on music and seems to work pretty well once you get it dialed in there, it does say pretty cool plug-in I think this saves you from doing subtractive EQ to get rid of the bad frequencies but I think a lot of people will still want to EQ a little bit for overall sound shaping you know

@@perfectharmany Yessir! Soothe was out of my budget. It does the same thing but in a different way. But the layout looks pretty much like this waves plug-in.

I don't see this as anything I'd use. Gullfoss already does something similar. Soothe slaps it, besides. My opinion only. Leave it. Great review and very imformative video.

on vocals should i use the waves curve equator first in vocal chain to clean up before mixing my vocal or after my vocal chain to clean up the already mixed sound?
@perfectharmany2 ай бұрын
You can use it either way. I like to use it after compression and eq. Once i get the sound i like from my compressor and eq I use it to touch up and catch certain frequencies that i might have missed. Or tame the top end after my eq, dynamically.

Already have Ozone Advanced 11 and Soothe 2. No need to spend anymore cash on that type of plugin. Looks pretty cool though. May be an inexpensive alternative. Paid about $500 for Ozone and close to $200 for Soothe 2, so for 39$, it’s at least worth a look.

I feel that. I have spent wayyyy to much on plugins chasing the the new ones. Im liking some of the features on this one tho. Thanks for the comment.

What a stupid ad campaign; "You won't need to EQ anymore" EQ is have technical and half Artist, We don't need AI plugs to do what we want to do. We need it to do the chors we don't want to deal with.

I get Ozone Advanced and their other plugs for free every year, I already own Soothe, Smart EQ, and Gullfoss. Waves copied 5 other brands and put them all into one. That company is desperate af. 😂
