@peevee60517 күн бұрын
@@icreatemusicgroup I have started using these plugins on my master bus and for electric guitars and various instruments. Haven't come to the vocal chain yet but typically I would use plugins like IDX, Curves Equator, delay and reverb in that order. Been so busy recording songs for my album but I'll set it up and come back to you.

@@LasCosasComoSean nice one. I'll demo it then. Hope the live option is avaliable.
@waves4 ай бұрын
We are working on a very low-latency version of the plug-in :)
@mygoogle15253 ай бұрын
@@waves nice . It actualy works without any hickups for me. Have not noticed enough latency to bother me.
I think this was a no brainer to try out as the price was very reasonable compared to Soothe for example. My initial test was that you can get good sounding results already with very little tweaking as the controls are pretty intuitive to aim for the kind of sound you're after. Time will tell whether I can get overall better results with my other plugins, but for the ease of use it's tempting to try this out first, and the same goes for IDX, which I got as well. They seem to complement each other well in what they do. I guess the remaining question now is, is there any reason to get Silk if you have Curves Equator? Both suppress, but Silk apparently is more focused on Vocals, and people seem to praise it in general for what it does. I tried to find comparisons, but haven't find much so far, so if anyone has an opinion on that, let me know. 🙂

To all WUP haters - I pay WUP once in like 4 years only to get the vast majority of the plugins released in the meantime added to my Mercury bundle for free. Not a bad deal at all, I'm a fan. I'm even willing to forget the sub only fiasco. Regarding the plugin - I own Soothe 2, Neutron, Reso and while this is in a similar vein (frequency balancer with a lot of customisation), it is also distinct and unique enough in how it operates. If anything, I think this is actually a bit closer but not identical to what Gullfoss does. Bottom line - I'm not selling neither Soothe, neither Gullfoss🙂

Can anybody answer? If I already have Curves equator, do I still need FabFilter Pro EQ?
@darkcharmrecordsАй бұрын
Yes they are different tools
@gidonricardo86294 ай бұрын
So what is the difference between this and a regular dynamic eq?
@waves4 ай бұрын
With Dynamic EQ, you need to know where the resonances are, then you need to add multiple nodes and possibly automate them. Equator has a thousand bands (nodes) that adaptively attenuate resonances, all you have to do is set the threshold.

Not sold. Please give us Abbey Road Studer A80 and A800. I saw them at Abbey Road at exhibition show, they are still there. Floyd and Queen recorded to that A80 tape, and God knows how many greats used Abbey Road A800 in the 80's. Also, try to sample Abbey Road keyboards. Old Reason product is outdated at this point and suffers from a small number of layers and round-robins.
