Val I want to tell you about a 1 inch snap on ratchet L-73 I think. worked on heavy equipment with it for 38 years have had a overhead crane pulling up on it to break big bolts loose several times & not once has it ever failed me. very impressive tool.

I got my 80 tooth and happy, I'll wait and let everyone test out the waters on the 100 tooth before I take it for a spin

I can't explain why, but with half inch ratchets I prefer my No.71N over my S80A and with 3/8 inch rachets I like my F936 as much as my F80. Unless it is a tight situation, I like the feel of lower tooth count ratchets.

Val when will the new repair kits be out that potentially address these issues? I bought two of the new Cynergy ratchets, standard length soft grip flex head and standard length all chrome. Would love to have these issues addressed if S/O releases a fix for them. Thanks. Love the ratchets so far other than that.

There were some real issues with the first batch of ratchets that shipped late last year. The second batch, at least the ones my dealer received, fixed those issues. I was impressed enough to buy one after passing on the first batch, and it has been flawless.

I'll definitely buy up the used dual 80s, all snap on how to do was make that one thinner put a steel selector lever on it. Moreover the wrist pin bolts are paper thin and they look like Harbor Freight

Val I have a 100 tooth. I know issues with it But backdrag to heavy I still like dual 80 more. Snapon has to go back to the books on the 100 tooth.

I have the 100 tooth ratchet in green and I have not used it yet, I use mostly my 80 tooth ratchets

So what happens to tools that are traded in? To me unless Snap On is willing to kick in some serious money on the trade, the only way that it works is if you give pennies on the dollar for it.

at least but the same sockets on all the ratchets to show the low profile, u cant put low profile sockets on "slimmer ratchet" and just standard shallow sockets on the 80 tooth ratchets

Your not addressing the real problem with the 100t ratchets. The atrocious back drag. Just turn a bit back and forth instead of loosening it. Huge problem.
