I really like that idea great explanation especially the front for planting up

Isn't it better to change the flow so that it goes through the media instead of just flowing over it? So in the beginning the water flows under a baffle and in the end over it if you know what I mean.
@Helveteshit7 жыл бұрын
@Adam Julyan , I noticed a slight bowing from the plastic due the length. Perhaps, in the future. You should consider the concept of adding a third baffle in the centre just to pull the stuff together. Other than that, it looks good. Neat idea to have a rim where you can plant stuff, providing an opportunity to hide it, with the appropriate plant.

Great work Adam. Personally I prefer rivers to shower filters. Much more quieter too. I think you could make these to sell.

I'm a real supporter of Bakki Showers.. The Japanese just cant be wrong..!! and I'm really impressed with this latest idea from Adam the Bakki River. Very innovative and also space saving..!! not sure it will produce as much oxygen as a trickle shower but no issue if used in conjunction with air stones.. Really like this Adam, especially with the waste outlet you have added to it also. I could see this used in conjunction with a Bakki Shower. A Bakki Shower and River set up..!!

This solution looks to be an excellent option as I am unable to fit a bakki shower. Battling with nitrite on a 3 month old 18000 litre raised pond at the moment and this option would work really well. Would it be possible to discuss you constructing one for us and is it possible to return the water not on a tray but in via my 2 x 2inch returns.
@DadePomsouvan6 жыл бұрын
I got an idea for you, maybe next time you should put a few dividers in between with an opening on the side of course so it would force the water to go through like zig zagging. I thought this would help to ensure that the water flows through all the media, let me know what you think.
@randalcolvin18735 жыл бұрын
i made one based on this design but the outlet is piped to a 5 foot waterfall with a glass sheet. same effect but the silky smooth flow is much quieter. and, no need to adjust the exit water if the gravity flow is correct.

I'm looking at something similar, not a shower, just a slow moving river, instead of media, just planted do they absorb nitrites. What are ur thoughts? Do you make commercially or just for friends? Many thanks Andrew Duffy

Great vid as always mate. The "Siporiver" looks great and the veggie section and cleaning valve are a clever addition. I liked the idea of the excess water being recycled through the sieve to regulate the flow back into the main pond too (I guess the owner didn't think it was necessary in the end). If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost in materials for it and what type of plastic did you use? Thanks Adam, keep 'em coming

Hi Adam, loving your videos. I have used Siporax in a wee filter thing I made for my sump after watching one of your videos and have another Siporax idea for an "emergency filter". Just wondering though how you fix the pipes into the bakki river boxes. Not really spotting bulkhead connectors nor Uniseals, just wondering now if they are heat welded in?
