Custom Brushes In ZbrushCore

Thanks for your tuts! I bought zbrushcore I just cant afford zbrush right yet but am saving to upgrade! I love zbrush and zbrush core is giving me a chance to learn the program.

I experimented a lot with alphas after watching this tutorial, but now I also have a whole collection of them that I'll never use again. How do you delete alphas from within ZBrush?

You can't delete from within zbrush. But you can find them inside your Zstartup\Alphas folder. You can delete them there.

How you the shortcut or hotkey to make your Alpha image into your Brush Icon?

Is there any way to extract the alphas from Zbrush brushes and transfer them to core? I have a pack of custom brushes that I can't use anymore because I had to buy ZbrushCore when my version of Zbrush (a free copy I obtained in college) was no longer working and in order to move forward professionally I needed a supported license.

You can pick the alpha you want in Zbrush and hit export in the alpha tab. So you could transfer the alphas of your custom brushes. But since brushes are more than just the alphas it may not be possible to have the same functionality as in Zbrush.

hmm, i don't see any option for Curve Brushes for Tri-planar ? Can you make IMM or VDM Brushes ?

These brushes don't exist in Zbrushcore, so you can't make a custom version of them.

IMM exist to some extent but you can't modify them.

Lol So you cant make custom brushes you can just save alphas. They even lie about this feature on the website saying you can make custom core brushes but can't use zbrush brushes. Going from Blender to Zbrush core is basically like going from Zbrush to Blender for sculpting. The main difference is one is 180 usd and the other is free/open source.
