Sorry but being a welder for 40 years I have to disagree with your comment about double sheild mig wire. T hat being said That is a great ballast box. And GOD blessed you with that, being able to make that and the steel being free. Have a great day Sir.

I think you did a great job with a lot of attention to detail. I wouldn’t mind having something like that myself. You have me a lot of food for thought, young man👍🏻

Love your box. Best I've seen so far. I'll have to build one myself. Thank you for posting it. ( Except mine will be John Deere green 💚, sorry, couldn't help myself 😉)

Looks extra heavy duty. Could you add some casters to your kickstands to make it easier to move around and hook up? Good project!

Thanks for the idea, if you planned on unloading it in a shop or paved parking area that would be a good addition. My options are dirt or gravel so it wouldn't work out very well.

Looks very well made, just wondering why you didn't and a toolholder for a chain saw and maybe a ledge and shovel, etc

Thanks for posting. Thinking of making my own also.

I know it has been a while since you did this. Would it work to just weld the blocks together? The bottom box just seems like extra work for little gain.

Nice work mate, I'll knock something similar for my little 38hp. Maybe a little more carrying space on top

Just curious as to why you needed/wanted the extra weight. Do your rear tires have a liquid ballast in them?

He may be doing loader work in a tight space without needing to have a huge implement hanging off the back...
