Thanks for the videos. Especially all the DIYs! The Sea Ghost 130 was the kayak I decided on when I started considering getting into kayak fishing. I'm older (55) and a big guy. Never even once been in a kayak I wanted stability and the Sea Ghost was supposed to be a very good choice for that. Someone also recommended a Pelican Catch 120 to me for a first kayak, especially for it's stability. Last January I drove by a local West Marine here in Connecticut and there was some kayaks out front, so I stopped to look at them. One was a Catch 120 and the price tag was $479.00. I couldn't pass it up, especially not knowing if I'd even enjoy kayak fishing or if I'd even be able to do it. Anyway, I love your channel and all of your videos. Maybe someday I'll get the Sea Ghost 130 when I grow up! Thanks for sharing all of your knowledge.

What tackle do I need to bring for the trout ?
@jphillippi915 жыл бұрын
They don’t have camper spots there anyway but they have a few tiny cabins and a bunk house. I use a 7 ft light action rod, small jerk baits, in-line spinners, small spoons, gulp minnows are all go to lures, as far as bait, I have most luck on pieces of night crawler and live minnows, salmon peach or orange powerbait works good too as does pautzke balls of fire salmon eggs. When using bait I use a mini drop shot rig with a size 8 bait holder with about a 6 inch tag end and put my split shot on the tag end. Hope this helps!

Any tips on mounting the transducer for a tamarack 100/120 angler? The back scupper holes would probably work but ive never used a fish finder before and not sure if they would get wonky if it sits to far up in it. Also looked at a few over the side arms like the switchblade from yak attack or mad frog liberator. Still not sure. I like the thing being out of the way and cheaper route with scupper hole mount, but worried about dmg when beaching it or it not reading right from being set in wrong position in scupper hole.

Great video btw! Hope you can find a hobie, love watching the videos and it would be great to see more! If you have no luck getting one maybe you could do a budget mod series and use a tamarack or sundolphin one and mod it for your kids or wife! :-)
