If I read the sticker on the box correctly, it was designed and built in the USA. I like that and would even pay a bit more for it.

Yes, although many parts are from overseas, final assembly is all done in the US. :)

I like the look and specs of this bike a lot, but their warranty appears to say it will cost me at least $200 any time the motor or battery fails, even during the original warranty period. That's not a true warranty ! To quote the EBC warranty: "The cost to perform a battery warranty exchange within the first 3 months after receiving your bike is $399.00. This fee is collected prior to us processing the warranty exchange. Upon receipt of payment, we will send you a return label to send the defective battery back to us. Once we receive the defective battery back, we will refund you $100 under our warranty program. If we find a manufacturer defect, we will refund you $100 under our warranty program."

YOUR ARE WRONG ABOUT THE WARRANTY PERIOD - I was @ EBC last Saturday and was told the Battery is 5 years and the Motor & Frame have a 10 year warranty - making it one of the longest out there...!

Kyle--as always, a fair and thorough review of even a competitor's bike...it is one of your unique qualities. It was interesting to hear that these are now sold with a 750w motor, as previously they were sold with a 500w version (which also "overperformed". I am curious about your warranty comments. Previously they offered a 5 year warranty on the motors, standard! Is this no longer the case?? Please put my name in The Hat to win this bike...it would be put to very good use on the hills around us with the 7 speed gearing! Thanks again for your excellent/impartial reviews.....

@@garycollins4399 The throttle only will get you about 20mph, but with pedal assist it will get to the full 28mph (class 3).

@@JerryHoward88 thank you for the information. One more question if you don't mind...in the video he said you can dial up the power past 750 watts. What is the difference in power and battery life if you turn it up past 750?

@@garycollins4399 That is a question that I am sure Kyle could answer much better than I can. He also went over it in an earlier test of a model R. Basically, the bike uses more than 750 watts when it needs to, is my understanding. And sure, pushing it does affect how much battery charge is available.

I really like those fenders. As a dirt bike guy, I prefer plastic fenders for the light weight, flexibility and durability. I may source those and retrofit them to my Spring arrival Blackbird.

I was so close to getting one of these, but the weight limit killed my plans. Is there a bike out there besides the Day6 Samson that has a throttle option like the EBC Model X or R for overweight riders?

I'm watching this review in Sep. 2022... did they change their warranty? You said 1 year. I ordered a Model S and it has a 10 year warranty with a 5 year battery warranty.

Honestly i am not a fan of this bike at all. I don't like the step through look, and the color is too solid looking with old school handle bar grips. Looks lie 3 bikes merged into one. Only one persons opinion though and its why I'm selling my iGo AtWater cause it looks just like this and I'm not a fan of the Merry Poppins style looking bikes

What for bike is it? As I look ad it, I would say a mountain bike, but as I look ad the frame design, the steering and the seat, I would say a woman's city bike. But that doesn't fit with the very thick tires and mountain bike fenders. I think with other tires and fenders, it would look better. Strange that a rear rack is optional. On a mountain bike I understand it. But on a normal bike, it needs to be there. I don't like the fenders. Other fenders around the wheels would look way better. Other then that, it is a nice bike for women.

The bike is a cruiser. Those fenders aren't typically on cruisers, but I LOVE them. Plastic is lightweight and virtually indestructible.
