I designed and built a side table that needed to be less than 6” in width to fit between a couch and cabinet.
Using through joinery, I attach the walnut upright supports between two thick slabs of hard maple.
I hope you enjoy it. Let me know if you have any questions!

Such a pretty table and it’s hidden, it’s an entrance room piece. Thanks.

Oh thank you Steve! And I agree - it could be on display somewhere as it turned out great, but it's nicely solving a problem in a tight space!

This is beautiful. I have a space next to my recliner that I want to fill with a side table. I've been thinking traditional side table with 4 legs...until I saw this video. It's a 9" wide space....thanks for sharing. You helped me rethink the possibilities. - DPAC Woodworks.

Actually, I think it may look great as a taller, entryway table! Great idea.

Man these videos are satisfying to watch. I would reccomend that if you're gonna put music over it it should probably go over all of the video, with exception to when you're talking of course, I was kinda surprised when the music suddenly came in at like 5 minutes lol. Alternatively no music would also work, or just using it when showing off the finished build. Anyways, praise god BillyMac.

Yes, looks like a risky cut, but it was doubled up, so it was over a 4" base on the table. Very stable.

Such a great husband! How many hours does a project like this take?

Haha, the honey do list never seems to get shorter! Finish one project and another gets added to the bottom of the list! This one didn't take too long - only about 4 or 5 hours of shop time.

Whats that spray?

It's a rattle can lacquer. On a small project, it's so much easier to use that rather than set up a sprayer.
