Evergreens are appropriate for the lines of trees forming a border around the farms... the purpose of those rows is to break up the wind blowing across large flat areas, and they're less effective at that if they lose their leaves in winter.

Honestly, with the new economy patch, specialized industry is going to be one hell of a boon to small communities, which is EXACTLY how it should be. Small towns propped up either by aggregates or Farms? It's how Rural communities are built.

in all honesty, i would love to see you line the farms with hedges, witht he occassional tree dotted through out, maybe even a gate access, if there is an asset. It'll look more likehow they are in my area XD (UK countryside, btw)

I found using 2 or 3 ages for bushes, layering them in ares with anarchy in places to make them less straight. Then pop a few trees around made the hedge rows look alot better amd more natural

To keep the original shapes of the fields you could place an object like a tree or bush at each of the fields vertexes/nodes to use as a marker for drawing the new field. Like connect the dots.

looks good but i think those rows of trees between the farms are a bit to close together. i think what you would more realistically see is patches of naturally growing wild bushes and trees between the plots, as well as drainage ditches along the roads.

My rule of thumb is that whenever you have an asset with a concrete/asphalt yard, you need to build a sealed road out to it. It's common to have properties with dirt yards front onto concrete roads but the opposite is pretty much unheard of in real life.

Im pretty sure the area youre not able to change on the industry zones is tge area the building was placed when the mapmaker made the map

Areas can be deleted using Better Bulldozer Biffa... just select the "area" tool, as opposed to the "surfaces" one. When the creator made the map they may have just used the "Agriculture Lot" area thing, instead of putting in the farms and then deleting then buildings. If there's still something preventing getting hold of the "field" in BB then probably let Yenyang know and he'll suss out a fix for it (on account of being a genius it seems). But glad you sussed out the "let's invalidate the field shape to delete it" method! That aside, great vid mate.

My tram lines broke after the update. If I try to change an existing line, it says "pathfinding failed". I tracked the bug down to the trams not being able to pathfind through intersections. Does anyone else have this bug? I would like to know if it is a mod related bug.

The furthest curved road away from the main city past the farms...that should be a bigger road...so people can cross quickly...but it does not impair farm traffic. I think it's sunnyside lane? Where you put the Dairy.

After watching this, I am hoping that CS2 will get some rural road options provided to it, and new farming fields for grain, vegetables, orchards, and even farm animals like cows and sheep! The rural roads would be nice to give some variety, and to change some of those main roads to remove pavements. Otherwise, this farming zone is FAN-SIPPING-TASTIC!!! 🍵🍵🍵🫖🫖🫖
