Custom DIY bedside lamps made on LowRider2 CNC

Had this design in my mind for a long time
The lamp is made from 12 mm Baltic birch plywood, wrapped in cotton yarn. The design was intended to have a natural and warm look to it, while maintaining functionality and sufficient light output
These lamps also fit the look of my bookshelf speakers I recently built, creating a common theme in my bedroom

They still look great :) was a bit worried about the yarn becoming loose, but no issue there. One of my favorite things I have made!

I love it.They look really high-end bro... I am thinking maybe you can use burlap or linen fabric instead of the string. It should give a similar effect but be less prone to gap irregularities and should speed up the build process. Heck you can maybe even use stencils to make black ink silhouettes (for shadow casting on d walls when lit). What do you think?

Thank you :) I had also considered linen fabric but later chose against it mainly because the string just looks much better and I prefer it in this design. But I really want to try the linen in different lamp shade designs. Just have to sort out sewing :D

Wow amazing video good job buddy . Ur spindle is the 1.5 kw right ? Am building my low rider 2 now . I was thinking to buy the spindle 2.2 kw u think it will handle it ? I would appreciate your feed back

Thank you :) For my machine the 1.5kW is more than plenty - have made some heavier cuts without any problems. One of the factors I had to consider when choosing the spindle was the need for an air cooled motor rather than liquid cooled one because in winter the workshop temperature drops below zero

The mpcnc I builded box around it and it reduce the dbi to 78 How about the low rider with this brushless motor 1.5 do I need box around the cnc ?

When idling, the spindle is really quiet. But when cutting, there will be some considerable noise
