The next video I weld in, I'll be sure to throw a clip in, thanks.

What state are you in? I have a few engines. Also you had four penetration not due to the wire size but due to to low of voltage.

I am in Central New York. The sad thing is I was getting better welds with flux core, and I'm sure you're right because even though I was plugged into a good outlet, its still only 110. Thank you for your support, and do you have any tips to help given my welding circumstances?

@@gkgt5226 since you are on 110v run .030 wire. Turn your wire speed down and your voltage up. You're looking for kind of a sizzling bacon noise instead of a popcorn noise.

@@morgankovarik3649 In the video My voltage was all the way up and my speed was very low. I'm also pretty sure there's .03 in the welder. I was using a pretty beefy extension chord as to get as much power as possible, but it could be going bad. Next time Ill move the welder as close and possible and try to directly plug it in. What do you recommend for amount of gas?
@morgankovarik36494 жыл бұрын
@@gkgt5226 your gas really isn't going to give you a cold weld or lack of penetration. Gas will basically stop porosity and contaminants in the weld. the next thing that you can try is max out your voltage turn your wire speed down as low as it'll go and then slowly work it up from there. But try your beads on basic flat stock and make sure that your beads can go flat. because when you're switching from flux core to solid core you're actually using a lot more wire.

@@morgankovarik3649 Thank you for the tips I will definitely do that next time I have the welder out. As in porosity with gas do you mean the almost bubbling of some of the bad welds as they cooled down or just small air pockets inside that make it weaker.

Get another one of those 8-9 hp blower engines, they are really good if you get one that had proper maintenance, most people never change their oil in those, or add any lost lol

Thank you, I'm on the lookout for them.

Where’d u get ur wheels and tires from?
@gkgt52264 жыл бұрын
The front wheel and tire are from harbor freight, and the rear wheel and tire were covered in another video. I modified the original rim to fit a lawn mower tire from eBay.
