I love that you painted it metallic blue. I have darn near the same mini. My old man bought it for me on my eighth birthday. powered by a flat head and it is painted..... Metallic blue!! The flat head is blown up (may have been over revved) and I have been contemplating restoring it to its glory of my youth. I have an old racing 5hp Briggs sitting in the attic waiting to be put back in service. This video may have given me the inspiration that I needed to get the project started.

@stevenm.23806 жыл бұрын
You buy a horizontal shaft engine.
@ProlificInvention6 жыл бұрын
*Nerofury* I had the exact same predicament as a young man, many verticals, horizontals out of my price range. I made a go cart with a vertical engine (my first, an ugly but functional wooden contraption) but I got lucky and found an old riding mower transmission for almost no money at the scrapyard. That is a good place to find engines for almost nothing, most yards will let you browse the metal pile and buy whatever you want for cheap. Another cheap resource is Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, apps like Offer Up and LetGo- you just have to learn to refine your searches to find old engines for $15-25. Good luck, have fun!

@@ProlificInvention yeah that would be a good idea but here in Austria we don't have so many scrap yards
