That's quality right there, no corners cut to save 0.35 cents on materials. That's how it should be done. thinking about a deck extension fabricated out of aluminum for the 92 Champion that I just bought. I will definitely contact you when I'm ready. Nice work!

Very cool. Man, where were you 20 years ago when I overhauled my Bass Tracker? ... back then, I had to pick from stock hatches to trick out my total rebuild, probably Overtons I think? ... but I made it work. Custom hatches would've been awesome! Love the small details like the channel drains....so damn smart.

You should make some where you can put a weather strip seal on it so that you don't get any water into the box

Good looking work. The gutter needs a drain otherwise it will fill and start to overflow inside the hatch. No way to make it completely water tight, which is good otherwise you'd have mold growing in the box and whatever is in there. Subscribed...

Forsure. All my hatches are ⅛" thick. I make products that are built to last. Your boat deck will fail before my products.

@TRICKEDTINS OK perfect, I have a roof AC unit I removed and want one to put in place of the existing hole (with a drain tube)...I believe it's a 14 1/4 × 14 1/4 square tho (the cut out)...can you make the lip that sits on the deck a little longer?
