It's a dwarf caiman so chances are it ain't getting over 5 feet lol. Most likely around 4.

Ok I have so many questions. I have a smooth front caiman and petting it is a no go, he’s half the size of yours but absolutely nuts when it comes to touching him. Mine also won’t eat pinkies, they just rot on dry land or float around in the water for days. He will only eat fish (which I know isn’t a good diet). I’ve looked at getting the mazuri pellets but I don’t know if that’s good as a staple diet or supplemental. Also mine NEVER comes out of the water to bask, he’s always in the water hiding under something like he’s literally terrified of everything. Is that common in babies? Like I said mines under a foot long tail included, it’s very small.

They'll leave to bask for brief periods usually when you're not watching but they don't do it much when skidding in my experiences the best way to get one to eat from my experiences is to leave a mouse on the edge of the water to let them take it and wear gloves while handling eventually with slow gentle handling they'll learn you're not a threat and come to tolerate you but it must be consistent but try variation in the prey items offer shrimp and roaches/crickets on land before the mouse and maybe live shrimp in water if that works

Thanks, also when using your fluval water conditioner, does it make your water cloudy ? And how long does it take to make your tap water good ?

@@JohnSmith-kp9xh I have not seen any cloudy water using that conditioner. I usually cycle the water and heat it for at least an hour before putting him back in
