good job its nice and simple but coming from a industrial construction back ground and its mainly just me because I get payed to be picky I would have added more structural support and done few things different but no way any one without my skill set would have been able to recreate it so again great job

I worked in an upholstery shop for many years and a angle grinder with a flapper wheel make short work of foam shaping. It does require some vacuuming but it works great.

Love what you did, i did this a few years back with a lot of my enclosures, i used black as underground and dry painted it with grey, so you get more nuance and shadow!

14:19 I'd put a nice foam pillow in there with a cotton pillow case that has the end tied off. My mangrove monitor knows better than to defecate where it sleeps. I watched this video many times, love the ambiance.

@@SpectrumVivaria Since leachies typically live in hollowed trees, I may have to revive your original tree plan and see if I can make it work. I've tried foam trees before and they are tricky. Maybe I should start practicing now or I can cheat and use large cork rounds haha

Glad you are enjoying the video so much, thank you! My best advice is to just go for it - do your best to plan and implement the job but it's OK if it doesn't go perfectly or you make mistakes. You will learn a lot from fixing the mistakes and take on that knowledge to your next build. I made plenty of mistakes with this project, but I used it as an opportunity to build my skill set and I still think it turned out pretty good!

Excellent work. I have question if you have a moment. Now that it has been a while since the built how has the drylok on the foam held up. I always had a fear that due to their sharp nails it might not hold up. Could you shed some light on your experience? Thanks in advance. Really awesome work.
