Nice install. Just wondering, if you were drilling into the back, why didn’t you just drill the hole behind the light? Would still be in the tour pack with no wire showing

Hey what’s up. The design of the back of the light bar is made to go against the indentation of the tourpack so the wire coming from it comes out the top center which prevents me from tucking it back down. Also there was a strip of 3M tape along the entire back side and cutting into it may damage wiring behind it. But thanks for watching and taking the time to comment… ✌🏾

Did the wire show where it exits the light and goes behind the backrest? Or does the backrest cover it up fairly well?

Hey what’s up. The wire on my particular unit exits the light housing at the top so I had to run the wire behind the top of the backrest pad. The pad does hide the wire fairly well. Only about 5/8” of wire on top showing between the two. Hope that helps and thanks for watching! ✌🏾

Hey what’s up. I’d say that there’s a good chance that it would fit because on my 2014 Street Glide, I had a razor from Advan Black and I ran the same light but from Kuryakyn and it looked great. They’re pretty much made the same way. Hope that helps… ✌🏾

Do you have the magic strobe or the triple play Run Turn Brake from custom dynamics? I currently have the RTB and want to add the tour pack light. Just don’t know if I can hook it up to the RTB or if I have to buy the magic strobe kit. Great install!

Hey what’s up… The reason why I couldn’t drill a hole behind the light and into the tour pack is because the back of the light is designed to sit flush against the indentation on top of the tour pack. The design of the light has a notch on top where the wire comes out giving the only option/direction for the wire to travel. Thanks for watching… ✌🏾

Hey what’s up! I don’t remember what size hole I drilled but I will say this, when u get ur pack or grommets, drill ur hole according to the size marked “OD” (outside diameter) and not the “ID” (inside diameter). They’ll go in much easier. Hope that helps! 👊🏾✌🏾

Did not show the fundamental process to de-pin the connector. I got stuck at trying the de-pin process. I couldn't get the connector de-pined. I was about to break the connector. Good Luck if you try this..!

Hey what’s up. I believe I started with 1/4” and then went up depending on the inside diameter of the grommet. When getting ur grommets from the store, pay attention to the INSIDE diameter not the outside because that’s where the wire will pass through. Hope that helps… ✌🏾

Hey what’s up. I don’t remember the exact size I used because they were part of a verity pack. However when picking the right size to use, use the inside diameter of the grommet for correct sizing and not the outside.
