Very cool guys. Thanks a ton for making us a part of this project. I can't wait to see this thing running! To anyone looking for a similar setup: We offer a budget harness and ecu combo featuring the link G4M ecu, brand new harness, and support for stock throttle or ITB. NA or turbo. We produce them all the time so there's no lead time like a custom job. Please email for pricing. Thanks.

Heater Core?? where does it go through the fire wall also what's a PDM??
@speedacademy7 жыл бұрын
Heater core is gone, it dry rotted in the desert, not going to replace it (we'll be plugging/welding up all the holes in the firewall before paint). We are installing a small blower motor/defroster for the windshield, though.
@speedacademy7 жыл бұрын
PDM = power distribution module, which is a solid state replacement for the traditional fuse panel setup. So the Smartwire gets power from the battery and then distributes it throughout the car to power all the accessories, headlights, etc.
@davegt277 жыл бұрын
I see thanks

LOL...The last time I did an engine swap it was much easier wiring. Wire to the starter, wire to the alternator, wire to the coil, wire to a temp sensor, wire to an oil sensor and a wire to the choke. Connect the battery and start it, done!!.....LOL...LOL (How old I am... :-( )
@samsonian6 жыл бұрын
Robert Kohut well, if it was 12v Cummins you would have a couple extra wires with the setup you named (just kidding if it was going to be a quality install but those things don’t even need an electrical connection to keep running). Besides the starter and alternator they don’t need any more wires but you might want a temp sensor/oil pressure/EGT, maybe a boost gauge...
