Its been awhile since i made a subwoofer box, and carpeting one. its my first time vinyling. My cousin got a skar zvx-8 and built his own box, he basically pushed me to do the same and i got the sundown x8 v.3.
I built this box a few hours a day for about a week. i tried to take my time but with two kids i cant just live in the garage like i want to. I will try to make a video when its all hooked up and playing in my truck.

Awesome build ! I always paint the inside of my enclosures too. I don't think people realize how porous MDF is.... I've heard that it can make a more than 1db difference... It would make no sense to me to go through all kinds of trouble to prevent a box from flexing even a tiny bit, but then to allow air to literally suck straight in and out of the MDF itself.

for real i built my last box, enclosed, with a reciprocating saw and a circular saw. way harder to do a good job even when compared to the more complex box in this vid.

Is it pretty much the same for building a box for two 12’s? And would you make a port for each speaker or would you have a port off each speaker but then have them meet and come out as one port? If that makes any sense?

Not sure if that was stretch vinyl you used but if it was not you should check it out. It’s very forgiving and it makes it easy to wrap stuff without any mistakes. Anyway enough about that and congrats on the sick ass box! Very nice work!

It was stretch vinyl, it was just my first time actually wrapping something using vinyl and I didn’t account for the tight corners and/or rookie mistakes. But I have a ton of vinyl left over and I’m ready to practice some more.
