In this LEGO mansion/garage update I eliminate all of the colorful plates! That felt good. Also start working on the front wall, garage doors, beach, dock, support beams, landscaping, and much more.

As someone who's visited several real garages like this...certainly no issue having actual race cars in there. Several uber rich people have actual race cars in their garage, and frequently track them. Definitely worth keeping them in there. GREAT progress by the way. I'm looking to do a full moc of a garage like this for the bigger Creator Expert cars (911, Camero, Mustang, and the 007 Aston Martin) Haven't seen anyone do a full size moc for these larger vehicles. Yours is definitely an inspiration! Looking forward to following more updates.
@maringarvanovic8011

I totally agree. Also you should put some lifts in there so you can double up on the cars. However not over the whole floor. Just maybe 4 to give it a different look.
@JamesDietrich-uz8sh

@@maringarvanovic8011 - Love where your head's at. Definitely considering a lift (or two) as part of the design...although I've not quite figured out all the height / space requirements I'll need for a garage this big. As Bricksie's video indicates, the walls are going to be massive, and some overhead reinforcing beams are likely needed. The lift might be for show (at first), but with a goal to make it functional / capable of supporting those larger cars.

As someone who works heavily in the automotive industry, it is perfectly acceptable for a collector to own rare race cars so I think those types of cars add a unique perspective to the garage build. A cool mix of production cars and race cars would be ideal for me, especially in a mansion style build. Those are exactly the type of people who spend insane amounts of money to own their favorite historical race cars.
@22damaged

Have you thought of putting in actual lights? I think it would add a lot to the build in the end, and while it's in this stage(the beam especially) it would be easy to put in. This project looks awesome and I really can't wait to watch you put it all together. Thank you for letting us join you on this journey!!!

The mansion is coming along nicely! I’m digging the roll up door design and the header running all the way across with the one support. When you went to the city at the end of the video I had a thoughtful idea. It would be sweet to see a plane or two hanging from the ceiling like they’re flying above your city. Just my opinion and hopefully you like it. Cheers Bricksie!

You could use clear heads for the drivers and place them all in cabinets like race suit memorabilia. Either in the garage or in a games room of the mansion.

Loving seeing the mansion MOC progress. I'm sure there will be several iterations as you go, but one thought if you keep a minimalist style to the pathway to the front door. How about some elegant poles along the path that could be linked by chain and each pole would have a light for the nighttime? It would keep minis from falling into the water! Keep up the great work!

I would certainly be willing to contribute. My only concern would be if any projects actually get fully completed. This is not a criticism, I love what you do but you are constantly moving between projects for various reasons - loss of interest, availability of parts etc. What would your plan be when you have a bigger space? IMO, more space means more projects and maybe less likely to finish any of them

If u put bricks along the side of the paths to make boarders to the grass the drive way should go off to the side not over the water as atm you cross the drive way to get to the other foot path and the dock, further to that the bridge needed for the car to leave wld also then just block the pier

One question why is there a garage with a driveway going straight into the ocean because it looks more like an Island house than a land house? Maybe at the curved area of the garage you should add a office there and add more trees and plants inside and out side the house to give it some life, and add alot of flowers which is what I would've done, and I would probably add a gym in the house since yknow its on an Island ( I think ) lol, anyways love your videos and you inspired to make my own lego city which i am doing now :)

If you didn't want the support post for the beam, how about running some beams across the opposite span from each end of the bay window (where it meets the overhead doors) across to the back wall to break up the span of that long beam? This would also give the long beam (and second level) more strength

One possibility you could do is have the garage entirely movie cars. Aside from the two Fast and Furious cars and the Bond car, there's lots of good MOCs on rebrickable and KZbin of other ones. I made the Lotus Esprit from another Bond movie out of the Countach. There's also an alt build for Dom's Charger to make the car from Mad Max that looks really cool.
