Hahaha I second that as an average size Mexican dude 😂 I fell out of the back of my F350 in a SAMS club parking lot and swore I’d never get another 4x4 ever again and it’s not even lifted! I still have that truck for hauling the travel trailer but I just bought a Maverick XLT last Saturday and I love that little truck!!!

Test drive one. I just happened to get my hands on one at work. Though it was base model i just loved the ride. It has got a the most amazing little engine in it. I think they get it off Mazda. But boy the quickness is incredible.

Love the truck, my only hang up with the Ford Maverick is the fact that the Ford Maverick had never been a truck! It was an affordable car in the 70's that the normal average individual that would drive back and forth to work etc..... Or made a low budget muscle car out of!!!

There are still some old Mavericks around, saw one in Ilwaco WA last month. I remember 2 doors and 4 doors, even "the Grabber" (a girlfriend had one). Also the Mercury versions. Many older nameplates are being repurposed, similar to the MACH E being called a mustang, which it in no way is. I didn't let the Maverick name keep me from getting one.

For you possibly wait for a Maverick ST. It'll come factory with a bigger 2.3 EcoBoost four cylinder from the Ford Ranger, Mustang EcoBoost + dufunct Ford Focus RS, likely AWD with a factory lowered suspension package + performance wheels/tires that ride, handle well, but don't "overdue" it like that black XLT you drove there in this video. I'm 90% or more certain I've heard that Ford will make a "performance" Maverick ST, especially being like you stated they've become so wildly popular. Funny thing is, people now are still paying "Ranger" prices & even higher for these Mavericks. I believe many folks will buy these due to small size alone as alot of folks miss the small, older Ford Ranger models + think the 2019-2023 Ford Rangers are just plain too big/tall. I believe this current Ford Maverick will even cannibalize some of Ford's own sales of it's very soon upcoming, redesigned 2024 Ford Ranger. I myself owned a 2020 Ford Ranger XLT Super Cab 4x4, Livernois tuned, performance intercooler, cold air intake, performance exhaust & liked it very well.

I've talked to a few folks now who have exactly the same color (including a neighbor!), that they had to order and wait Months. Nice that production has caught up with demand. The Eibach lowering springs will be my first mod, especially after seeing an XLT with them locally. Just looks right.

The Maverick has a tiny engine compartment like a FWD compact car. Both engines are transverse mounted 4 cylenders, the platform mates (Escape & Bronco Sport) have 1.5 liter turbo three cylender engines. The 2.3 liter mustang ecoboost isn't even an option for the 2025 Lobo sport version Maverick. Maybe some year they will make a tire smoking Maverick.

Ford did Trademark "Mavrick Lobo" and one with camo was seen with 19" wheels and low profile tires So Mavrick "Wolf" is what might be in the works. I just hope they make the interior look better and not so cheap. I wouldn't mind if it was 300+ HP and AWD and not a stupid starting price. Toss the 2.7 Turbo from the Ranger in it.....yes that!!! Edit Sorry, I got carried away! If they can make it look like your truck I would be interested, that is what the Mini truck scene used to be like.

I just started to look at Mavericks. My local dealer has three at list prices. Plus, there’s a couple of used ones on the lots in town. The demand has decreased to normal levels. Plus, there might be an update for 2025. For now, I’ll keep my 2017 F150 Platinum with only 43,000 miles. This lowered Mav looks good, though!

I do like the truck. I would like to get one myself. I'm a big fan of lowering. Also, we don't always need to go too big on wheels. There's no reason for that. Lorraine seems to work better with medium-sized rims. To smaller rims, you don't need to go crazy with 25 inch rims. That's unrealistic. They're not dubs, small rims factories. Steele's something lower it and depends on your purpose. And who's driving it? But this guy is talking about something that's pleasant. As something smaller, Ram 18 are smaller like I saw that comment, but yes, hopefully the boat pattern could work for different size rams manufacturers, but all the hook depends on who's driving it. If you want to use it for daily use, don't go too big. There's things that are realistic and unrealistic. When you're lowering a vehicle. Yeah, you may have your pros and cons, but it's still a good vehicle. Nothing's gonna be the best in the world. And if it's something you want to enter the habit. Pick up truck like that instead of a Sedan. I think that's a better option for a Ford malright, send more information about. Options of like different Springs.Not everybody wants coil overs but it's a good video on my subscribe

Great video. Awesome truck. The only thing i disagree with is the comment about the bolt pattern. Even the guy at the rim shop said , its a hard bolt pattern to find rims for. Unless you want 18" or smaller. I always want bigger rims. I currently have 21" on mine. Which i had a hard time finding 20" rims that i like. Even 22" rims i only had maybe 6 choices to choose from. If it was 5x114 bolt pattern then there would be lots of choices.

I have seen the Lobo, and I want this truck. The Lobo is NOGO and the price is stupid for what "upgrades" it got. Lowered 3/4" isn't even lowered, LOBO mode only for the track, Same blue plastic in the cab on every trim and the same seats with different thread accent color and embossed logo. Nothing really special about the Lobo. Sorry forgot the flappy paddles and the bigger screen. But the Screen is on every trim so don't really count.

Yes, the '25 Mavericks seem one step forward and two steps back. I would like to have the Lobo brake upgrade, and especially the paddle shifters (I am still reaching for them on my 24 Lariat). Both are things I miss from my 16 Optima turbo, but it wouldn't haul multiple MTBs or eMTBs to the trails, priorities ...

Yeah the better breaks would be nice because automatics are harder on breaks when you can't gear down. I'm just really disappointed with the Lobo. I think the lobo is a test to see if people really want a "performance" street truck or not. Problem is this is not a performance street truck it's a half assed attempt with scrounged parts. I just feel the "Lobo mode" is a gimmick like the "Drift Mode" on the Focus RS. Not really useful!

The Maverick is a mini by today's bloated truck size standards, the old Rangers are about the same size. Many manufacturers are talking about making even smaller and cheaper pickups, but most will not come to the US market (except as 25 year olds, like JDM cars, in 25 years).
