Great comparison but You guys have plenty of time and personnel why don’t you quickly check the specs on the connectors - or the fact that Ford provides the Tailgate Damper for a handful of the Reward Points that you receive upon purchase?! Can’t believe you hadn’t done that on the Maverick.

We appreciate the support thank you!!!- Because you can buy one for less than a quarter of the price of the ford once which I find to be an absolutely massive waste of money and ford points

disagree with the handling and body roll of the Jeep. Normal Dodge cars are boats and these are x10 haha. its Just a normal Wrangler with a big block swap.

what's better than a G35 is a G37, what is better than a G37 is a Q40...literally the identical car except for the VQ engine got a slightly power bump in 2009

Lol love the the ending. Alot of kids now days, even my millennial generation, who aren't mechanically savvy with anything past a screw drive ro change out batteries in a remote. Its sad to see basic repair knowledge be replaced by throwing money at the problem. I knew a guy who was 100% clue less about oil changes in his Mercedes. Ran it to the ground he did. Never looked at him the same way since.

Should have compared this Explorer Platinum to Aviator Reserve I (201A) instead of the lower end Aviator Premier which is basic with a lot less options. I have a Special Order Monochrome White Aviator Reserve (II) with $20k in additional options: All leather seats/dash/door trim, Revel 28 speaker Ultima 3D Audio, 30 way massaging seats, 2nd row window shades, 2nd row console with panoramic window shade controls, 22in blk alloy wheels, adaptive air ride suspension, etc...). I did NOT get (but can still add the optional trailing pkg, didnt since I also have a F150 4x4 King Ranch truck for pulling light-heavy trailers).

There is some truth and lack of knowledge shown in this video. The interior does look cheap , it looks like an avalanche (not a good thing), the front end is too “bubbly”, it isn’t worth $75K+tax. The lack of knowledge is 1) you cant just say it takes longer to get to full charge hence that is bad. What matters is charge time per mile gained. It’s no worse than competition. 2). You can find these 7K off already. Factor in the $7.5k tax credit and now it’s a $61K vehicle (plus tax). At that price point there is a lot of utility and practicality, which many people will find attractive.

I'd honestly take the LS430 over this less major engine issues and just as luxurious

P.S I wish Explorer had option for adaptive suspension at least on the Platinum model!
@wbdonnie1Күн бұрын
Noone ever goes into detail on the Aviators front suspension, how it's different than explorers and not just the adaptive suspension option...also cargo space on Aviator is almost 10 cu ft. less than an Explorer. I think those are the main things that are a factor for me personally.

Then you're one of the lucky ones. I know two brothers that were Nissan fans, they had the G35 coupe 6sp and 350z 6spd. G35 needed a junkyard engine, the 350z was parked for ever a decade. Both cars burned so much oil. I almost bought a Z or G, test drove both but couldn't get a good deal on it. I know someone with an FX35, exhaust rusted off, wheel bearing needed replaced on a 5 year old car. Every Nissan VQ owner had their exhaust flange rusted off. They all had interior dash bubbles.

Love my Braptor. It's the best offroad vehicle ever, but I'm obviously bias. It's sort of a Raptor 37 in SUV form. It has the same suspension and has bigger axles than the Raptor R. But I've had the F150 Raptor and I still like the Braptor better. The F150 is more luxury but the Braptor is still very nice and I love being able to power wash the inside. I have the marine grade vinyl and not the suede.

I used to have a white 1992 Lexus LS400, bought it with 125,000 miles on it, and later sold it with 250,000 miles, and it was still like new, reliable and dependable and not so expensive to maintain at my local Lexus main dealer who were 5 stars out of 5 fantastic. Highly recommended as a used car purchase.

I bought one a few years back. They are not as reliable as you’re claiming. The cost of ownership is very expensive. The best sub 10k luxury cars are the Mercedes W211 and Volvo P3 S80.

We have a 2007 LS460L 169k miles with rear seat upgrade. It's a unicorn basis no air suspension, but still has the drink cooler in the back and electronic side shades. We have replaced a radiator, brake actuator, and front control arms. Didn't get the notice about the free dash recall and missed the window, so that sucks. If you love these cars and get one with options you like, just pay the money and maintain it. Otherwise stop complaining about maintenance cost and get a clean 430.

I happy people like their Mavericks, I have a 2023 that's on its 3rd recall. Not a big deal but very annoying, oh by the way you can't buy a 2024 Maverick XLT because of a recall which likely won't be correct until 1st quarter of 2025. According to Ford Techs.

Hard agree! I am the happy, happy owner of a 2008 ES -- MIJ. I got it in 2018 with just over 100k miles for just under $10k. Years and years and miles and miles of carefree, smooth, quiet driving. Outside of regular fluid changes, I've only had to replace the battery and put new pads and rotors on it at 150k (and that cost under $1k). Lexus is best!

I don't understand why no reviews seem to talk about the cost to drive. Avg MPG vs electric use & cost to charge.
@PerformanceOnWheels3 күн бұрын
It’s a very hard comparison to talk about because it very much so depends on if your DC fast charging or charging at home over night. Over night at home your savings will be significant DC fast charging will be pretty much the same as a gas vehicle
