Eric, I can remember watching you on "Biker Build off" waaaaaaaaaaaay back in the day! You, Indian Larry, and Finch have all been huge inspirations to me. About 6 years ago I took up welding and metal fabrication and haven't looked back since. When my mother turned 60 she came up to me and said "Show me how to use that damn thing." and started teaching her mig welding. For mothers day a couple years ago I took her to Finch's shop down in Pontiac. In fact, she's the one that told me you had this channel and were doing craftsmanship style videos. The whole family are big fans. Thank you for the virtual shop tour and thank you for sharing your humble knowledge with the world. Cheers from Lapeer! - Wes

Man! What a great small shop! I could be happy hanging out there at a work station like yours too! With a 45 yr. career in metal fab. That’s where I’m most comfortable. Woodworking is another hobby that I am now incorporating all of my off time fun into a retirement business... I hope 🤞. Who knows maybe building choppers and hot rods will then become my new hobby? Eric, your shop is Stellar brother! Thank you for sharing.

A very well-organized shop. I'm very impressed. People should realize how important shop teachers are. They are skills you can't master alone you have to have someone to guide you at the start. Having gotten to tour Eric's shop in person I can tell you it is one of the greatest making spaces I have ever been in. It's well organized, efficient and perfectly suited for the work he does. The separate dirt room for all the abrasive tools is genius and keeps things in order. He is a master craftsman and one hell of a great guy, the sculpture he made for the park in my hometown is beyond stunning, beautiful bright stainless!!! Thanks for the video Eric!!!

I've watched this video a couple of times & both times came away going "but what are they for"? I don't know what a plenishing machine is and what this thing does and what that thing does. So if you ever decide to do another video, for us novices, try putting in a bit about each machine. Like what it does &/or show us a little bit of what they do. Missing you on Iowa PBS, glad to hear you're going to be presenting some new videos in June. Good luck in your new ventures! We've learned a great deal from your shows!

Nice to visit your full metal workshop. As you walked & mentioned the different machines, all I could do is wonder "what the heck does it do?" You may know what a "bridgestone?" is, but I have no clue. Watched you teach the blacksmith woman about a hammer machine to shape a fender (on Iowa PBS). THAT I could understand - as I could see a result. Hope to see you utilize the machines in future or be training someone. Linda Weakley
@CraftsmansLegacy3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Linda. Maybe we will do some videos showing what the machines do. FWIW: Bridgeport is a brand of milling machines. The name is often used to describe all vertical mills without regard to an actual manufacture. Like Kleenex.
