Excellent video of a superb craftsman. I liked it so much I am going to check him out sometime. I live in North Carolina but my son and grandkids are 45 minutes from Nathanial so a visit would not be that far.

I would really like to see the details of construction. Making everything fit is the most difficult of any assembly.

Greetings from Chicago 🌱 WELL, I’M 2 YEARS AND 809 COMMENTS TO LATE…. Lol BUT , AS A 67 YEAR OLD SELF TAUGHT JAZZ COMPOSER, WRITER, ARTIST, SCREENWRITER, AND INVENTOR …… a show like yours Eric is right up my ally….. great vibes here ❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️ IVE THOUGHT OF MAKING HATS STRANGELY ENOUGH- CLOTHING TOO-( but…. only for me)….. lol Don’t wear hats or jewelry… but I always liked native Indian stuff…. Actually…. anything organic looking… from the earth ect. What I MOST love about you Eric…. Is the enthusiasm you showed to Nathaniel =( my name too) I love teaching someone one on one the way you guys were❗️ The look In Nathaniel’s eyes and in his voice is that of…… A MAN WHO UNDERSTANDS THE VIRTUES OF TEACHING WITH PATIENTS ❗️ Wisdom allows us to SLOW DOWN…. and…. BE AN ENCOURAGEMENT TO A STUDENT….. NATHANIEL IS A MASTER OF THAT…… his warm heart and artistic soul is a RARE FIND TODAY ❗️❗️ I’m in the middle of making jazz ballads, writing a novel, and the screenplay of it …. Along with Researching my invention. Soooo, I’m busy here for now. Maybe before Nathaniel retires….. he can make me a HAT❓.lol Definitely wear the hell of it……. PARTICULARLY WHEN LISTENING TO CHRIS STAPLETON 👨‍🌾❗️ You have a soulfulness about you Eric that oozes honesty. Never lose that sir😌 Love any shows that can teach, show, and tell me things I never heard about before ……… And ……. You’re made for interacting with others ❗️ Yep…. I’ve subscribed….. Get your rest and eat right my friend 👀 God bless you sir, Nathaniel aka 🎼RAIN AGAIN 🎼

I am relatively new to Cursive / Calligraphy, having always enjoyed writing with a fountain pen and no time to fully appreciate the art, I have now retired and find myself fully immersed in the world of the fountain pen. Thank you for this amazing video I only hope Eric appreciates the pen handcrafted to his hand and will learn to write with it and who knows we may have another master penman on board. Very interesting video, thank you.

Beautiful craftsmanship, outstanding product vision, but there's nothing Japanese or Japanese inspired about the pieces. In fact, they are rather in the early English Country style - times before mortise and tenon have been perfected.

So when you say "It cures", does it really cure? Like it doesn't re-dissolve when the wood gets wet? And how about the problem of wood not warming up when you put water-based stuff on it? Some water base jobs look white as a ghost.

Woulgn't it be better just to use a drill with a forster bit?
@ridermak4111
@ridermak4111 25 күн бұрын
I thought so too, but I found out that Forstner bits are quite slow going that deep and overheat. Also a hand held drill requires a vertical guide to maintain perpendicular. A plunge router solves both problems and can be done on a tighter budget than you saw here. Do a KZbin search “Drilling bench dog holes” and you’ll find hand drilling done accurately. 🤜🤛
