When using a steep water discount, does it take longer for the soap to come to a normal pH?

Ava Minarsky From my experience yes it seems to knock off about a week of curing time for my bars. I cure them for 3 weeks now.

Ophelia’s Soapery what’s your water lye ratio? I have tried a 1:1 ratio but mine is never that fluid 😫

Mrs. A Mine is 38% lye concentration. Which equals about 1.6:1 it’s the perfect ratio for me. It gives me plenty of time and my bars don’t shrink up from the water evaporation.

HI amazing soaps love your videos quick questions do you cut your soaps 2" wide or 2.25" on the log splitter? my log splitter gives me about 3 10" loaves but can't figure out if I should cut them 2 or 2.25" ?? thank you

Cut them whatever thickness you want. Mine are close to 2.25 some people like theirs at 2.5” :)
