Anyone else marvel at how Teri can bevel her soaps so perfectly? :) I cannot use a peeler without totally wrecking my soap.

Checking in from 2023 here to say thank you for this! I've been struggling with layering effects because my trace is always too thick by the time I pour into mold. Layering it in the measuring cup is something I hadn't considered. I've learned a lot from your channel and just wanted to say thank you! Your work on these videos and openness to sharing are much appreciated!

I personally appreciate your transparency. At the end of the day as nice as it may be to produce these videos for others to enjoy you have to make a living. I think some people expect everything for free but as a small artisan business owner you wouldn’t survive let alone thrive. I’d be happy to purchase some recipes.

Just getting started in soap making. Big fan of George's & of Elli's. Your video came up on my youtube algorithm. I cant believe how nice these bars came out! How in the world did you ever figure out how to get that pattern??? It looks exactly like ocean waves & the premixing of the colors makes great sense for a number of reasons. Definitely incorporating this technique in my notes. Thank you very much, well done!

Like what you explained about powdered sugar, water discounting and oven processing, blending pigments, etc. Thank you for sharing this information so clearly. There's definitely a wealth of info in each of your videos. Worth watching more than once and taking notes, and watching again after getting more hands on experience.

I think it’s a great idea to sell your recipes individually. That way people could buy one here or there that appeals to them. I have a KZbin channel too- and practically gave up doing it regularly as i made $100 one time. And hour and hours of work. And that was before they made it harder to earn an income! You do such a great job soaping, and the videography. And you have a sweet relaxing voice. Do it!!!!

Selling your recipes is a great way to earn extra in addition to the ads. They are your intellectual property; if I want them - and once I begin soaping, I will want them - I see no reason why I shouldn’t pay for them. After all, if I want a soaping book, I have to pay for it. I’d rather support an individual soaper than a large publishing company, as I support my local farmers and ranchers. Thank you for another informative technique video. I learn so much from you.

Beautiful! I love how you explain why you add certain ingredients and why you work with certain tools or in certain ways. I mixed the lye solution for my first soap in a pot that I placed in a bowl filled with ice cubes, and the sodium hydroxide had a hard time dissolving. The second time I made soap, I mixed without the ice bath, and so it dissolved easily and reached 60°C (possibly higher). Then I moved it into an ice bath till it was around 35°C and continued to the next step. That's it, I've only made two soap batches to date 😊 it was good that I first measured the oil and only then prepared the lye solution as a beginner, to feel more in control - when there's lye solution I am more alert and kind of anxious. Anyhow enough of my rambling! I appreciate your videos and you explanations, and your work is beautiful ♥
