Going to build this same box, thanks for this. Can you give dimensions of your port? How did you figure it out?
@blakebaertlein82113 жыл бұрын
Awesome, and I honestly don’t have a good record of the build dimensions. But I believe the port was 8 inches by 1.5 inches cross sectional area. I used a website online to get an idea of what the port dimensions should be. Also can’t remember which one.

@@blakebaertlein8211 after the seat lift did the back rest still clip in and unclip easily?
@blakebaertlein82113 жыл бұрын
After the seat lift it worked just fine for unclipping, you just need to hold the seat at 45 degree angle.

@@blakebaertlein8211 1 more question. How much magnet clearance did you have after you built the box to 10 inches high? I plan on using sundown e8v5s.
@blakebaertlein82113 жыл бұрын
I can’t remember exactly but if I had to guess probably about an inch. Definitely something to take into consideration, it was the biggest issue I ran into hence the seat lift.

What boards did you cut and what angles did you use? Looks like the top board,the front board, and the back board
@blakebaertlein82113 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I can’t remember the exact angles I used but for your build it can all be calculated using Trig functions and basic geometry angle rules, I would say plan it out on paper and draw out your angles prior to making any cuts. I hope this helps. You can also test out your angle using scrap wood too.

What are the specs on the port. I would like to make one for myself.
@blakebaertlein82112 жыл бұрын
I would directly use the webpage for the subwoofers that you bought and it should list port specs and you can multiply the port area by how many subwoofers you have, the port length will then affect your tuning frequency. I hope this helps

How did you lift the seat
@blakebaertlein82113 жыл бұрын
You can get a seat lifting spacer kit if you have the budget for it, but we did heavy duty washers and new longer bolts on each of the mounting points for the seat.
